Moondance Cabin at Red River Gorge - Hot Tub

Welcome to Moondance Cabin, your new favorite cabin located just outside the Red River Gorge in Daniel Boone National Forest. This cabin was just built in 2021 and includes all the modern amenities of home, with a beautiful view included. This cabin features an open and bright kitchen and living room, with vaulted ceiling and large windows showing off the expansive valley. The living room also has a gas fireplace, cozy couch and love seat and plenty of additional seating. There are 2 bedrooms, one offers a king-size bed, and the other bedroom includes a queen-size bed, and a bunk bed with two queen sized beds.
This layout offers privacy for couples and plenty of space for families. You will never get bored when you are staying at Moondance cabin! This cabin offers cornhole, horseshoes, and a fire pit for smores. For rainy days, there are plenty of board games, puzzles, cards, and all the streaming services you can watch.
The back deck area is completely covered and has an outdoor dining area with seating for 6. The hot tub overlooks the valley and offers a wonderful view of the valley. The screened-in porch is the perfect place to relax and read or enjoy your morning coffee. Bring your favorite steak to grill on the outdoor charcoal grill and enjoy dinner al fresco on the lower deck while watching an exciting cornhole match.
Moondance cabin is located outside Frenchburg, Kentucky, in the Indian Creek resort, just a short, beautiful drive from Red River Gorge hiking trails, Natural Bridge State Park, and Cave Run Lake. Note - Ring doorbell/cam on the exterior front door.

WONDERFUL CABIN

Cabin has any amenity you could want right there. Loved the sparkling hot tub and the relaxing swing on bottom deck. Even provided coffee pods and toiletries! Going to try to come back when we can spend all our time there (Had a large wedding gathering at nearby lodge)!

Family weekend getaway

This was our family’s first trip to Red River Gorge and Our stay at Moondance was fantastic from start to finish! We were able to have firewood delivered as soon as we arrived to use in the fire pit. The cabin was spacious and clean, beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. Communication with Brad was timely and very informative. Would love to stay at this cabin again in the future!

Gorgeous property nestled in the foothills of Kentucky and close to Natural Bridge. The place was immaculate and everything you can imagine the host provided. Spectacular views and gorgeous cabin. This is definitely one of my top places to stay.

Relaxing vaca

Moondance cabin was exactly what our family needed for this vacation! Our family of 5 fit perfectly! The view was stunning, and the secludedness of the cabin made it relaxing and quiet. Brad was an excellent host. He answered all my questions, sent recommendations for the area, and sent thorough check in and out instructions. The cabin was stocked so well - from shampoo, to make up wipes, to paper towel, kitchen supplies, games and more. There was nothing we wanted for during our stay. The cabin was one of the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in. We would highly recommend Moondance for your next stay!

Perfect place to relax and renew

We visited after my husband participated in an Ironman race. Between the hot tub and the comfortable deck with an wonderful view, it was the perfect place to relax and recover. So very peaceful; such a treat!

Just tremendous! We love the gorge and have been coming for years. Thoroughly enjoyed a quick “date night” away with my spouse. We dinned outside on the spectacular verdana; watched the sun go down; enjoyed the stars while in hot tube; and slept great. This place has ALL the amenities with the best view. We will be back with our kiddos soon. Thank you!

Cabin in the Kentucky Hills

One absolute fabulous place. Such an amazing view. We loved the hot tub. My kids and I enjoyed all the games. Such a gem.

Very relaxing

My wife and I spent our anniversary weekend here. The cabin is so nice and the covered deck was perfect. From the scenery to the peacefulness. We fully intend on returning at a later time to do some hiking and more relaxing in the hotbtub while enjoying watching the stars at night.

Beautiful property!

The cabin was absolutely immaculate and beautiful! We loved the outside area and all the fun activities at the cabin. The view was breathtaking and a gentleman delivers firewood for a small fee. The only drawback was it was a long drive to get anywhere, however each drive was breathtaking!

Cabin and hiking in DBNF

We are two couples that love to hike and enjoy cabin life which we did here for a seven night stay. The cabin is pretty new, with quality construction and furnishings. We found the cabin very clean, with everything we needed and everything works. We cooked two meals a day and ate inside or out on the porch where we could enjoy the view and listen to the birds. The hot tub was very welcome after a day of hiking. We had a great week!

Weekend getaway

The property was fantastic. Loved the screened in porch off of the deck. Very great property. Only drawback which has nothing to do with the actual property is it was 40 minute drive to all of the hiking trails we were there to do. Having never been to the area I had no idea what to expect. I would definitely stay there again in the future.

Loved Moondance

We really enjoyed our stay at Moondance Cabin. It was immaculate and very comfortable. We loved the view off the back deck, the hot tub and the screened in porch. We had a nice fire, grilled out, and played games. Loved the ride to the Natural Bridge park and some of the other trails. The kitchen had everything we needed. No complaints at all!

Relaxing and peaceful

So many positive things to say! Even though the door lock pad was acting up, the owner gave me a heads up and an alternative way to get in if it wasn’t fixed yet. He also sent so many other details and information that was very helpful with directions and things to do. The communication with him was easy and quick accurate responses. The cabin was beautiful, warm, clean and comfortable! Loved the view and thoroughly enjoyed cooking while we stayed there. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Plenty of good things to say! Looking forward to coming back!

Perfect Accommodations!

We can’t say enough positive things about this property! The cabin is located in a beautiful setting with a stunning view of the forest. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook or grill any meal. Best of all, the place was spotless, so kudos to the cleaning crew. The host gave really good information based on our travel purpose and check in and out was effortless. We have no idea if the big screen tv’s worked because it seemed like a sin up watch tv with such an amazing view off the deck. We wish we had more time to spend there. We’d give it more than 5 stars if that was an option.

Excellent Getaway!

The property was perfect with everything we needed and the best rental we’ve had so far. It was a little longer drive to the different trails and parks we were exploring, the grocery, or restaurants but the quality and beauty of the property made up for the extra driving. We planned for that driving factor so we ensured we had what we needed and grabbed a few extra groceries at the Frenchburg IGA for dinners in the cabin. Currently, the property is one of a few on that section of the ridge so there hardly was any traffic and was very quiet and relaxing. I think we were actually the only people in that stretch of the ridge a couple of the nights (we stayed in mid-March). We used it all - fire pit, hot tub, deck, fireplace, kitchen, games - all worked great with no issues. We slept soundly in the beds. I would recommend the Moondance cabin and I would stay in it again.
