As its name and address would suggest, Pine Haven is tucked away in a quiet stand of pines on the eastern shore of Smith Mountain Lake and is awaiting your arrival! This custom lakefront home completed in 2017 still feels and looks like new and would be a candidate for anyone’s “A” list of top vacation destinations.

This spacious home boasts four beautifully furnished and well-appointed bedrooms, three and a half baths, a vaulted ceiling great room with stone fireplace and Sony flat screen TV, lighted curio cabinets, hickory flooring and knotty alder doors, premium granite top kitchen with the finest JennAir appliances, separate dining and breakfast areas overlooking the lake, and a walk-out gathering room with brand new sectional sofa, Sony 4K TV and kitchenette.

Whew! Take a breath and read on. There is a composite deck (no nails or splinters!) with retractable awning, an inground salt water pool (summer uae only), large paver patio, eight person hot tub, stone fire pit with composite Adirondack chairs, a gas Weber grill on the deck, Sonos surround sound throughout the living and outdoor areas, and a covered deep water dock to serve as a launch pad for all your water activities. There is ample paved parking for multiple vehicles and even a back-up whole house generator in the unlikely event power is lost during your stay. Internet and cable TV are included at no added cost.

Pine Haven is located in a quiet cove behind one of our favorite lakeside stops, Mitchell’s Point Marina where, in the warmer months you can rent the watercraft or water toys of your choice, enjoy mouth watering outdoor dining and live music at Mitchell’s Restaurant and Pizzeria, and cheat on your diet at the home dipped ice cream hut out front. The view from the home and dock is mostly of the large surrounding cove and community but, if you look above the tree tops, you’ll also catch the peak of the lake’s namesake, Smith Mountain.

If you’re new to Smith Mountain Lake, you’ll be swept away by the quality of life here. SML, as its known locally, is considered one of the top 10 fresh water lakes in the country and offers limitless boating and water based recreational activities. There are nearly two dozen marinas, a dozen lakeside restaurants, and enough open water to accommodate everything from slalom skiers to poker runs and professional fishing tournaments. Did we mention that it has 500 miles of shoreline?

The water is clean and weed-free and bugs are practically non-existent. Mosquitoes are on the endangered species list (not really, but you get the point.)
