Cottage in Prime Sherman Oaks

Totally renovated with all new furniture, bathroom and flooring. PLEASE NOTE, NO CHECK IN'S AFTER 9PM.
This is an absolutely charming guest house in the best area of Sherman Oaks. We are right near the intersection of Ventura Blvd and Sepulveda. Walking distance to the Sherman Oaks Galleria, with a 24 hour Fitness gym, Burke Williams spa and restaurants. We are also walking distance to Whole Foods and the new Pavilions market. This is a studio guest house 550 sq feet in size, fully detached from the main house. It has a full bath with tub and shower, private laundry & kitchenette. Plenty of space for 2 people. We DO NOT have a full kitchen, we have a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, Nespresso Coffee, and dishes, similar to most hotel kitchenettes. There is no full cooking option and no hot plates allowed. There are a ton of cafes within walking distance. Because of our location you can get just about anywhere in very short time. Beverly Hills is 20-30 minutes away. Downtown LA is 20 minutes away. CBS Radford studio is 10 minutes away and Universal Studio's is 15 minutes away. The entire cottage was renovated in Jan 2022 with new furniture, flooring, lighting and a new bathroom. It is furnished with a very comfy queen bed, loveseat, chair and dining area. TV with Roku, Netflix, Hulu and many other streaming services. Wifi internet. You have your own Wifi network so it has great speed and has its own network.

There is air and heat, tons of windows and light and in a beautiful backyard with fruit trees and lush lawn. Laundry in the cottage. Parking is on the street.

We only allow 2 people max including babies and children, no pets or smoking of any kind on the property.

HOUSE RULES: no smoking on the property, no guests allowed on the property-only those whose names are on the reservation may be on site. Please remove shoes inside the cottage.

If you are coming to LA and want something more like a home for a great price, this is the ticket!

Sherman Oaks Stay

Great place to stay while visiting our son in Sherman Oaks, place is as described on VRBO. A cute place with a beautiful yard and garden. The host was great, she even bought a small blender for us to use. She communicated promptly and very friendly!! I would stay here again when visiting. Highly recommend it!!

We spent four nights here. The cottage is comfortable, clean, beautifully furnished, and our every need was met. I was especially happy to see nightstands on each side of the bed with lamps--to me, an in-bed-reader, a necessity--but not one you find many places. Sitting in the back yard under the lemon tree was an added asset.

Lovely Stay in Sherman Oaks

What a little gem. Closto shops and Ventura Blvd. Great accommodations for a long weekend stay. The furnishings are classy and comfortable. The mini kitchen amenities including snacks and Nespresso pods were a welcome treat. Best of all the backyard with sitting area under the lemon tree was picture perfect. Looking forward to our next visit.

I thoroughly enjoyed my two week stay at the Cottage! I loved the beautiful sunny backyard and fruit trees. I had fresh grapefruit and oranges off the tree every morning! There is a great kitchenette with snacks, refrigerator, coffeemaker, toaster oven and washer/dryer. It was exactly as pictured with lovely furnishings and a gorgeous sunny bathroom. Elizabeth is a great host and communication was excellent. Will definitely stay again when visiting my daughter.

Cozy cottage felt like we had our own little home in the Valley

Beautifully maintained cottage made for a perfect getaway. Nearby family and friends and lots of choices for restaurants (we recommend Blu Jam, just a few blocks away on Ventura). Easy access to LAX, major studios, Sunset and West Hollywood and the beaches Elizabeth was the perfect hostess, making sure we had everything we needed, while giving us privacy. The cottage is so quaint and so close to everyone we love, we will definitely make this our home away from home whenever we are in Los Angeles. Highly recommend.

This cottage is beautiful! Very clean, great location, and in convenient safe neighborhood. Elizabeth is a phenomenal host, pleasant to work with and highly organized...we didnt have anything to worry about except to enjoy our vacation. We travel to California every year and would absolutely stay here again.

We had a great stay in this little gem located (behind the owner's home) in a very quiet neighborhood in Sherman Oaks. It is equidistant to everything there is to do in the Los Angeles area. Within walking distance to good restaurants and shopping. Owner is very friendly. Cottage was very brightly lit and immaculate. The linens were better than most hotel's (extremely appreciated!) A great stay in LA! Just be mindful of street cleaning rules; park on the wrong side, ridiculous $73 ticket!

A Quaint Little Cottage

This is the second time that we stayed here. It is a quaint little cottage that fully fulfilled our needs. The cottage has many amenities, and it's very reasonable. The cottage is located behind the owner's home on a quiet street in Sherman Oaks. It is walking distance to the Galleria and many restaurants. It is not meant for more than two people. The owner is quite hospitable. I would highly recommend it.

A private little get-away at a reasonable price

I stayed here for 2 weeks while apartment hunting. It was great, with plenty of parking! Quiet, and very private. Loved the restaurants and shopping on Ventura Bl. Convenient to both the I-10 and the 405 so great for heading downtown, or to the beach in Santa Monica. Elizabeth knows Los Angeles well, so was an excellent resource and very helpful. I would recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a home-like atmosphere over a hotel room (no shared walls or slamming doors!) – no need to worry about your belongings while away and you’ll definitely get better sleep!

Great way to see LA!

I had an AMAZING time staying in LA. Elizabeth was so helpful with details, and was quick to answer any questions I had. The house is really private - I hardly ever saw her, but when I did she was always friendly and greeted me with a smile. The location is great - just off the highway, and within walking distance to a galleria (outdoor mall for your East Coasters like me). There's plenty of restaurants, Starbucks and some shopping there. Commute during rush hour to Hollywood was about 1/2 hour. Not bad for LA traffic! Parking at the house is a breeze - just pay attention to street cleaning signs.

Great cottage

I highly recommend this cottage for a quiet get away or in our case for business travel. It was very quiet within a secure gated yard that is very well maintained. We only saw the owner upon check in and prior to our check out. Prior to our visit our questions were promptly answered by email in a very courteous and professional manner. I would stay there again.

Best VRBO stay ever!

This is a wonderful guest cottage in a great location. The size is perfect, bigger than a hotel room and way more private. Its super quiet, I never even saw the homeowners unless I needed something and called them. The setting is really beautiful, sunny and there is a great yard to relax in as well. Its walking distance to Ventura Blvd, a movie theatre, gym and spa. Parking is on the street and never had any issues. Stay here for sure!

Home From Our English "Home"

We chose the guesthouse because of its location. It turned out to be our home from home for two weeks. Its in a very quiet residential street, was very clean and comfortable with a delightful gardem. Elizabeth has thought of everything -cable TV, coffee maker, microwave, fridge, washer dryer and small vacuum cleaner. Even toiletries and washing machine liquid were supplied. Infact as we say in the UK " everything but the kitchen sink" Its within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and public transport on Ventura Blvd. We would recommend this guesthouse to anyone and would be more than happy to stay there again

Comfortable and Close to Everything!

I spent a month in the wonderful guesthouse, writing, exploring LA, and getting to know the neighborhood. This is a wonderful place to stay, and is walking distance to so many great things. Elizabeth was very accommodating, and easy to work with. The bed is soft and comfortable, and with the washing machine and kitchenette you have everything you need to live comfortably. The natural light that floods in when you open the blinds is exquisite, and the backyard with the lemon tree makes a wonderful backdrop to sit and write for awhile.
