Nestled in the trees, along a windy tree-lined road, this property feels like a country getaway yet it's only minutes to downtown Portland. In this modern country cottage you will have all of the amenities and yet feel like you are on a retreat in nature. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the wrap around deck which overlooks the neighbors goats (currently there are three); or take a short 5 minute walk to a forested park that has a picturesque creek and trees that make you feel like you are miles away from everything. The yard is fully fenced so it makes for a great place if you have pets or young kids. There is also a wonderful fire pit that you can retreat to on those cool evenings.

My husband and I stayed at this quaint cottage for the summer. We are from PHX it was lovely to walk to Marshall park and enjoy the stream and tall cool trees instead of the heat of the desert. We watched my grandson most days, he enjoyed watching the goats next door. Michele was fast to respond and pleasant to work with. We look forward to returning next summer.

I am so excited to have you stay at my country cottage in the city. I have been blessed to have lived in this house since 2013 and I'm excited to share this gem where it truly feels like you are on a retreat in the city! I now live in Sunriver, Oregon with my husband and Saint Bernard puppy Bear. I am a nurse by trade but have had years of customer service working at the Marriott. I hope you enjoy my house as much as I do and hope to be of service to you so you can have an enjoyable stay!
Why they chose this property
There is no other place like this in Portland. Only a 10 minute drive to downtown Portland, this house is easily accessible to any destination. The number one thing people share about my house is how adorable and cozy it is. Sitting on a corner lot, this house has a lot of privacy and overlooks nature in all directions. There's even a beautiful forested park within a short 3 minute walk.
What makes this property unique
My neighbor has a mini farm with 3 goats and chickens. The goats can be seen from the house and offer a unique experience to travelers.
