My husband Ed and I are originally from Minnesota but have traveled all over the world in the Air Force and on our own. We love this Scottsdale location with its warm, sunny weather, beautiful golf courses, excellent hiking and biking right out the door, paddleboarding at Bartlett Lake, and beautiful evening sunsets by the pool. Dinner in nearby Carefree or Cave Creek is a great way to end a day of activities or relaxation.
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. We enjoy looking at the flowers, wildlife and beautiful landscapes while out on a walk. Hop on the Maricopa Trail for great hiking or mountain biking. Stop at Raven's View wine and beer bar for a great charcuterie board, sandwiches and desserts.
What makes this property unique
This home is only 40 minutes from the airport, but far enough from the crowds, pollution and heat in Phoenix. At the base of the mountains of the Tanto National Forest, we get more rain here and the desert flora blooms beautifully. This region is part of the designated Dark Skies area. Star gazing while soaking in the hot tub is fantastic.
