Amazing stay at the property. From the moment of booking got great communication with the amenities and check-in process. The location is beautiful with a calm and beautiful beach just steps away of the unit.

Right on the beach, comfortable condo, clean and beautiful landscaping. Not your typical high rise so it had a lot more intimate feel. We would definitely book again.
The reason it’s getting 3 stars is because we may have been the only people on the property who did not know of the possibility of flooding at this property. If you book here,GET TRIP INSURANCE! It has flooded often enough that the property has flood gates, which came in handy when we were involved in an actual flood. The pool was full of flood water so that became unusable. I would check to make sure that has all been repaired before booking here! Most of the circumstances were out of property management’s control, but I was a little surprised that everyone who had booked through the condo and not VRBO seemed aware of the flood risk. Also, there isn’t a generator for the property when the power goes down so we had no power for a few days. I’m not sure if the bigger hotels have generators for those types of circumstances. Just something to note. The twin beds are very hard, which probably doesn’t matter if you have small kids staying there but ours are big teenagers so they chose to couch surf it instead. The listing says there is coin op laundry on site, but this is limited as the housekeeping staff for the other units is also using that laundry facility and they had 2 out of 4 dryers operating. The condo is stocked with lots of stuff for the beach and it’s probably a great place to stay when there’s not a natural disaster occurring, but the roof was leaking and the power was out, which is why trip insurance would have been great.

You’re right that the property is in an area prone to occasional flooding — the flood gates are in place for that reason. We’ll update the listing to make the flood risk, potential pool closures after storm runoff, and the lack of an on‑site generator clearer so future guests can plan accordingly. Trip insurance is a wise call for situations like this.
I apologize the roof leaked and the power was out for several days. Maintenance has been alerted to assess and repair the roof and to perform an electrical inspection. We’ll also follow up with the HOA about generator options and faster storm response where possible.
Thank you for letting us know about the firm twin mattresses and the limited laundry availability. We’ll inspect the mattress condition and evaluate mattress toppers or replacements, and we’re arranging repairs and better scheduling for the on‑site machines so housekeeping use doesn’t unduly limit guest access.

The condo was great. Very well stocked aa far as daily living. There were plenty of spices, paper towels, toilet paper and regular towels. There were only 3 "pool" towels. As three of us stayed in the condo for almost a week, it seemed like 2 towels each would have been appropriate. We were in the pool and ocean every day. If the laundry facilities were included or located in the condo we would have washed them. As the laundry cost and were away from the condo, it was rather inconvenient. Other than that, the check out time of 10am, was frustrating. We understand that the place needs to be cleaned between guests but 11am shouldn't be too much to hope for.

We loved Kihei Sands. The location is so central and perfect for our family that wanted to see and do everything on the island. It was so fun being right on the beach too. Awesome that there are boogie boards to use while you're there. The unit was clean, had plenty of brand new towels, good beds and nice beach chairs and a cooler to take on our adventures or beach hopping. It's a great little condo and we loved it.
The unit was decent and had what we needed. I was a bit disappointed when I contacted MyPerfectStays and asked for a few extra blankets due to cool temperatures in the condo. The response was via email and simply stated there were blankets provided for each bed and we could not have any extras. The blankets on each bed are very thin and not enough for someone who is more affected by the cold. Just a strange response since it would be easy for the management company to provide extra blankets and if those blankets were not present upon checkout there could be charges applied.Additionally, on the last day one of the fuses must have been popped because we lost all power in both bathrooms, the kitchen, and the front porch lights. We could not find the fuse panel box (we assumed it must be in the locked closet downstairs by the TV) to reset the breaker and no one was sent to assist, so our last night and final day we showered and used the restrooms in the dark.

This condo (B2) was clean, well stocked, and nice and cool with all the AC and fan options. There was a nice peak a boo view of the ocean from the little balcony and parking was never a problem. As listed, the beach is literally just off the back of the property by the pool and there were boogie boards, noodles, beach chairs, etc., to use and gas grills we used a few times. Staff was always around and helpful/friendly. Location was good because not only are you on the beach, you are very close to Kihei attractions and just short drive to Waulei to the south and a little further, but not too far, from Ka'anapali and all the great bays and beaches up that way. Highly recommend.

Perfect Location!
This unit is perfectly located on Sugar Beach. It’s a lovely condo near great food options, snorkeling, etc. in Kihei and other nearby beaches. That being said the cleanliness of the unit left something to be desired. We found broken glass shards on the carpet. Which was scary considering I have a mobile 10 month old. Some of the dishes had not been thoroughly cleaned and there were other signs of neglect throughout the unit. Otherwise it would be good for a small family. We had requested an early check in as we’d previously been staying in a different unit down the hallway before choosing to extend our stay and were given a copy and pasted answer thy we couldn’t check in early despite the fact it was noticed nobody had been or was occupying the unit for the entire week previous which was frustrating. It would have been nice if we could have actually spoken with a person rather than just receiving a copy and pasted answer.
We love Sugar Beach and would definitely stay in these condos again but not this one as it is privately owned and not as well taken care of.
