About this property

The original part of cottage is charming with it's 1950's original features. The new part is ALL windows to take advantage of the lake front view. It's comfortable and has plenty of room with 1550 sq ft. The Owner's suite is spacious and has it's own balcony and 1/2 bath!
**4 queen beds (One is each bedroom, and two in original living room. They are a daybed and sofa bed).

**You are walking distance to the Waneta Inn on days you want to relax.
**Arrow Point golf course/sports bar/horseshoe pit/ice cream shop is a mere 10 min drive.
** Hammondsport 12 min drive, Watkins Glen is 15 min drive and Penn Yan is 20 mins. It's so worth it for it shops and restaurants. The Glen is one of the most gorgeous hikes you can make in the country. Hammondsport is quaint and sweet and you'll love visiting the shops and restaurants!
** Lots of wineries are within 10-15 drive and you will be smack dab in between Seneca and Keuka lakes.

I would not book it again.

The only thing that I would change its the fact that you will be asked to hand wash, dry and place all dishes in the cabinets, it might just feel a lot if you stay more days. Bring disposables.

Beautiful getaway

This lovely home was perfect for us as we spent time together exploring the beautiful fingerlakes area. My husband and I appreciated the cozy 1st floor bedroom, and our daughter enjoyed the 2nd floor bedroom with bathroom and cute little balcony. The firepit was accessible by a short walk down a slight slope to the waters edge, and the sunsets were amazing. We loved staying here, thanks for sharing it with us!

Lakeside relaxation

The property was perfectly located and had the necessary amenities. The view is spectacular. The host were prompt and friendly. The only downside is no water vehicles like the house next to us had kayaks, paddle boards, and a canoe. So no way on water unless you bring your own. There is rentals nearby which we ended up renting a kayak. Also no closet space. Couldnt hang up clothes.

Cheryl and Matt grew up in the Finger Lakes region. We have since moved away, but our hearts are still there. We love all the lakes and natural resources the area has to offer.

Waneta Lake is beautiful and very peaceful. We visit often to reset and refuel.

Our cottage is a mix of old and new! It's large and comfortable and beautifully decorated. We are 15 min from so many amazing locations!! It is so convenient!
