About this property

Whooping Crane Lane | Nature Preserve, Kayaks

Imagine yourself on the balcony of a beautiful home, gazing at preserved wetlands and feeling the cool sea breeze as you watch whooping cranes hunt for their next meal. Turn this dream into a reality at Whooping Crane Lane, a stunning three-bedroom, two-bathroom home offering easy self-check-in in Port Aransas, Texas. Located in the prestigious Paradise Pointe community, this home has unobstructed vistas of the Port Aransas Nature Preserve. It has everything required for an unforgettable vacation!

Carefully designed with maximum comfort in mind, you’ll find yourself relaxing the moment you step inside. The bright, open living spaces are surrounded by natural light, gorgeous wall art, vaulted ceilings and incredible views. Settle in the living room on the comfortable and stylish furniture and curl up with a good book. Later, grab some popcorn for a family movie night and choose the evening’s ambiance lighting colors that provide a soothing glow on the Heron statues and palm tree! The sofa converts to a queen-size bed for additional guest use.

If you and your loved ones prefer to cook your meals at home, you’ll find a beautiful and fully functional kitchen featuring plenty of counter space, stainless-steel appliances, a slow-cooker, a blender, a margarita/slushy machine, and cookware and utensils galore. Preparing delicious meals at this home is delight! The breakfast bar overlooks the living room and dining room, so no one is cut off from the crowd. Should you have a flare for home cooked BBQ, shrimp-on-skewers, juicy steaks, or fresh grilled veggies, the outdoor gas grill awaits. After dinner, relax in the porch swing while you listen to the laughing gulls finish their evening conversations.

With three levels of great outdoor spaces, you and your loved ones are sure to spend hours enjoying the serene vistas, swinging in the porch swing, morning, noon and night. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee as you catch sight of the birds that make Port Aransas a birder’s paradise. Watch ospreys fish, northern harriers hunt, and reddish egrets dance in the watery “backyard." View enormous marine vessels on the horizon cruising into Corpus Christi Bay.

When you and your loved ones are ready to turn in for the night, you’ll find three well-appointed and cozy bedrooms each with its own personal style, plenty of storage space, and ceiling fans to keep you cool each night. The primary bedroom has a luxurious king-size bed, a flat-screen TV and a private balcony facing the nature preserve. The en-suite bathroom has dual vanities, a walk-in shower and a separate soaking tub. No detail has been left out...you'll even have access to guest-use hair dryers and a flat iron. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed while the third bedroom has two sets of twin-over-full bunk beds with full-size trundle beds. These two rooms share a full bathroom with dual vanities and a long balcony that extends across the front of the house.

You’re sure to wake up feeling refreshed and ready to play! Whooping Crane Lane has a large private driveway next to a cul-de-sac with scarce through traffic. Find in the garage enough toys/games to keep everyone having a blast! Even the adults will take turns with frisbees, Velcro dart board, nerf-football, bubble making wands, sidewalk chalk, and aerial gliders. Divide into teams and try out the LED-backlit cornhole set. For some natural adventure, this house includes three kayaks to explore the abundant waterways surrounding Port Aransas, or grab the guest-use beach chairs and head to the sand! For a pleasant cool down, be sure to take a three-minute walk to the resort-style community pool. Little ones can splash around on the sun shelf while big kids have a cannonball competition. There are plenty of lounge chairs to enjoy around the pool deck.

Seeing the natural areas of Port Aransas is a must-do. Charlie’s Pasture south hiking trail entrance is less than a mile away. This trail/boardwalk (visible from the back porch) meanders 1.3 miles through the wetlands ending at the nationally famous Leonabelle Birding Center. Raised walkways and pavilions on stilts provide wonderful wildlife viewing. See if you can spot Boots, the 14’ alligator that has been resident below the main pavilion for decades. He is a crowd favorite!

When you're ready to explore more of “Port A," you’ll quickly find out why the beaches consistently make the Traveler’s Choice Best of the Best list. Known as the “Fishing Capital of Texas,” Port Aransas is an angler’s haven! Water activities abound in Port Aransas, and you will have your fill of surfing, parasailing, jet skiing, kayaking and paddleboarding. The pristine coastline and warm waters of the Gulf invite you to spend leisurely days swimming, snorkeling, beach combing kiting and dolphin watching. Port Aransas also boasts a bustling community of art galleries, museums, boutiques and restaurants to satisfy every palate.

Come see for yourself and book your next Port A vacation at Whooping Crane Lane!

Port Aransas

We loved our stay and the 3 bedroom, 2 bath worked out really well for our family. We love to explore so between the shops, fishing, the beach, and the Lexington we had a great time! The house was very cozy and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Very organized and clean house

Great views of the preserve at this house! Everything inside is labeled for ease of finding and putting back. QR codes for lots of things that might require help such as the doors since they are a little different than most houses. Very clean, very organized and in a nice little neighborhood with a nice pool area. Very close to beach and everything in town. The mosquitos were pretty annoying when we went BUT that seemed to be mostly from the recent rain and lack of breeze. This house all you need but pack some bug spray just in case.

The house was nice. However, guests are unable to control

The house was as described, very clean, and located in a quiet neighborhood. The one drawback, which was a big deal to us, was guests are unable to control the thermostat. We called to request a change in thermostat. The company had to call the homeowner who said he would lower it by one degree as the temperature is sufficient. That was a disappointing response at best and frustrating as we would not have made the request if we were comfortable and the temperature was "sufficient". I have never experienced a rental where there was zero control over something that seems normal. You also cannot open windows or leave doors open for air to come in. Overall, the house is nice, but when we come back, we will choose another house.
