Hidden gems are rare, but the reward is worth the discovery—and the Secret Garden Cabin is one of them. Tucked away at the very end of Eagle Mountain Trail, this all-adult, pet-free retreat rests along the ledge of a quiet crevasse overlooking a gentle stream. Surrounded by tall pines, hardwoods, and a clear rocky creek, the cabin offers privacy and natural beauty not often found among more crowded cabin sites. Deer and other wildlife frequently visit the water, providing tranquil views right from the expansive patio.
Spanning more than 1,200 square feet with soaring 30-foot ceilings, this one-bedroom retreat feels grand in scale yet intimate in design. A dry-stacked stone, double-sided fireplace rises 25 feet from floor to ceiling, connecting the main living area with the romantic lover’s retreat. Oversized windows fill the great room with natural light, making it the perfect place to curl up with a book, plan your next adventure, or enjoy the 65” DirecTV Choice package.
The open kitchen blends seamlessly into the living space and is thoughtfully appointed with stainless steel appliances, a modern farmhouse sink, granite bar top, and a built-in wine bar with wine fridge. Whether preparing a gourmet meal or simply sharing a bottle of wine, it sets the stage for memorable evenings together.
Step outside to an outdoor living area designed for relaxation, complete with a spacious covered patio, fireplace, and serene creek views. For a truly unique experience, follow the private stairwell down into the forest and cross the enchanted bridge to the Secret Garden gazebo. Furnished with a large lounger and fire feature, this magical hideaway is perfect for morning coffee at sunrise or stargazing late into the night—a rare and unforgettable amenity that makes this cabin truly one of a kind.
At day’s end, retreat to the spa-inspired bathroom. Soak side by side in the freestanding tub, warmed by the glow of the flickering fireplace, or step into the oversized shower for two. For a refreshing start, the outdoor shower invites you to bathe beneath the pines while birdsong drifts overhead. The romantic four-poster bed, dressed in luxury linens, ensures restful nights and peaceful mornings.
Secret Garden is more than a cabin—it’s an experience. From the enchanted gazebo to the spa-like comforts inside, this hidden woodland treasure is a retreat you’ll want to return to time and again.

Very disappointed, left early, the hot tub was filthy, outdoor shower filthy, houses CLOSE on both sides not secluded at all the only thing nice was the gazebo. Can’t open the blinds unless you want to look at neighbors. Wasn’t even the last house as described! The refrigerator beeped the whole time, picked up human hair all over the bathroom, wine glasses were dirty (I left it hanging you can inspect) just very dissatisfied. Really felt like it was all fake. And the police shined there spotlight inside the house nightly?

Hi Jeremy,
I want to preface by saying that we are recognized as a Super Host with Airbnb, and this cabin consistently receives 5-star reviews from guests. We are truly sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations, as our goal is always to provide every guest with an exceptional experience.
That said, we do want to note that we did not receive any communication from you during your stay regarding these concerns. Unfortunately, once guests have already checked out and returned home, we are no longer able to address concerns in real time. Our phone number is posted throughout the cabin, and we also send a check-in message the morning after arrival to make sure everything is going smoothly. Our team is very responsive and would have gladly addressed any concerns during your stay.
Cleanliness is something we take very seriously. Our cleaners follow a detailed turnover checklist, and each property is inspected after cleaning. If anything was missed, we would have promptly corrected it had we been made aware during your stay. In addition, the cleaning inspector who inspected the cabin prior to your arrival did not observe any human hair or hair of any kind in the bathroom or elsewhere in the cabin. If you did notice anything during your stay, a quick phone call to our office would have been very helpful so we could have addressed it immediately.
Regarding the items mentioned:
**Hot tub:** The hot tub was cleaned, drained, refilled, and chemicals were added prior to your arrival. We also provide chlorine granules on-site for guest use during stays.
**Outdoor shower:** The outdoor shower is cleaned by our cleaner and then rechecked by our cleaning manager and re-cleaned, if needed, on the day of check-in. Because it is an outdoor shower, leaves or natural debris can occasionally accumulate between cleanings, which is part of the outdoor environment and outside of our control.
**Proximity to neighboring cabins:** We do not advertise this property as “secluded.” Like the majority of cabins in Broken Bow, neighboring cabins are common and consistent with the area. That said, this cabin sits on a cul-de-sac on a pie-shaped lot, which allows for more space between neighboring cabins on both sides. Because of this layout, the property does offer more privacy than many cabins in the area.
**Driving directions / “last house” description:** The cabin technically is the last house on the block since it sits in a cul-de-sac. We understand how that wording could be interpreted differently, and we will update the listing description to make this clearer for future guests.
**Refrigerator:** Following your departure, our cleaning manager inspected the property and did not observe any beeping from the refrigerator or elsewhere in the cabin.
**Wine glass:** Thank you for leaving the one wine glass out for us to inspect. This one glass was unfortunately missed during turnover, and we do apologize for that oversight. Our cleaning team has been notified.
**Police activity / lights:** We are not aware of any police activity involving spotlights directed at the home. However, due to the holiday weekend, it is possible there was routine patrol activity in the area for guest safety. Since this cabin is located on a cul-de-sac, outside vehicle lights may have been visible through the windows.
We strive to provide every guest with an excellent experience and are always available to assist during a stay. We do appreciate your feedback and will review your comments with our team.
Loved everything about this cabin! The outdoor shower was so cool. We also enjoyed sitting in the hot tub overlooking the scenery and creek in the back. The management team was also great and very responsive. Will definitely be back!
RELAXING and BREATHTAKING! This property was perfect! It is exactly as you see in the listing! Very clean! They thought of everything! Very private! Perfect area to be in!
If you are looking for a relaxing getaway! This is the perfect place!
This was a great cabin and was very nice, however, the only downside was the two mile gravel road in and out. The road is in rough shape and was difficult.
The cabin is beautiful and would still recommend it.

Chas, thank you for the 5-Star review. Secret Garden is a one-of-a-kind cabin and is our newest addition to our luxury one bedroom cabins. This cabin is more private than most cabins in this area, but you do have travel a gravel road to get to the cabin. I drive to this cabin in my car, but if you have a larger vehicle, maybe it will be a more comfortable ride. Once you get to the cabin, you will agree that it is worth the drive, and it will not disappoint. :)
My husband and I had a wonderful extended weekend at this beautiful property. The house was very clean. We cooked all of our meals at the house. All needed dishes and utensils were provided. There were spices available as well. The only thing we didn’t have was cooking spray. There was shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion provided.
We enjoyed spending time in the hot tub and sitting on the back deck enjoying meals. We spent time hiking in Beavers Bend State Park. Highly recommend the Friends Trail, Mountain Fork River trail and Lookout Mountain Loop.
I'll start with the two small cons: the road to the cabin is not yet paved, and while that was not an issue for us in a truck, it might be a bit of an issue for small cars. Two is that there are a lot of stairs on property. The property photos are conpletely accurate about it, though! Just expect stairs down to the front door, and stairs to the gazebo.
Pros: basically everything else! This cabin is far more isolated than many other Hocha cabins, and we felt truly secluded. There is is currently one cabin neighboring each side of this one, and one of those seemed to be under construction so we had plenty of space to ourselves!
The hosts were so incredibly sweet and allowed us to host a small elopement ceremony here with our parents and a handful of friends (10 people total including us and the officiant). The gazebo was an absolute dream for that purpose!! Our 10 chairs fit perfectly, and the stairs and walkway to the gazebo made for a lovely aisle walk. We hosted a short cookout with the small group afterward, and the porch was a perfect size to accommodate everyone.
We stayed for several days after the elopement. It's a perfect getaway. We greatly enjoyed the jacuzzi, reading on the porch with the sounds of birdsong and the burbling creek, and the luxury of both an indoor shower and an outdoor shower. The kitchen was well-appointed and had every supply you could need for cooking - just bring food & drinks. We'll be back soon!!
