Birch Bluffs, modern eco friendly house, 5 minutes from Lutsen Mountain.

Birch Bluffs is a new build on the shore of Lake Superior close to Lutsen and 5 minutes from Lutsen Mountain. The house offers some of the North Shores best lake views and great places to hang out and chat with family and friends. With an expansive kitchen, recreation room, in-home gym, and 3-season porch with a wood burning fire place, there will be plenty of activities to do on site. When you decide to venture away from the property you can find places to hike, ski, golf, and bike just minutes away.
The space
The house has 4 bedrooms with lake views, 3 bathrooms, a large open kitchen and living room space, laundry room, and a recreation room with a smart TV, theater seating and a ping pong table. The house also has a well equipped private gym with an elliptical, stationary bike, rower, weights, etc. For winter guests, there is a ski rack and boot warmer in the garage. The property is nearly 3 acres with a path and stairs leading down to the lake where you'll find a scenic rocky ledge and a pebble beach, complete with Adirondack chairs.

Guests will have access to the entire property but we ask that they not park in the garage.
Safety
Use of the gym is restricted to ages 16 and above. There is a lockable half door to keep small children out.
The house is near a step bluff that has no railing. Please be aware and be sure to keep small children away from the edge.

This home was spectacular and the views were incredible. It was extremely clean and well equipped. Loved being able to cook meals there and have pots and pans and cooking utensils available. The grounds outdoors were also quite expansive with great views of the water by the Adirondack chairs. It was a fabulous layout inside the home, too. We've stayed at other VRBO's and this was one of our favorites. We appreciated that they had very comfortable furniture, too.

A fabulous family hiking trip!

We loved every moment of our stay at Birch Bluffs. The house was perfect for us, the beds and baths exactly right, the workout room, television room with theater seating and ping pong table, spacious kitchen, games galore and incredible outdoor space was everything we had hoped for. The owners could not have been nicer and supplied everything needed, even wine and coffee! We feel so lucky to have stayed here!

Extraordinary Modern House With Superior View

We have owned in the past and rented many homes on the Lake Superior North Shore and this the best ever. This newer construction home is perfect in terms of configuration, lake view, and ambience. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, cinema room, exercise room, screen porch fireplace, stairs to lake, larger than normal property, and near Lutsen skiing.

Our favorite happy place!

This is our second stay in one of the most beautiful properties on the North Shore! The attention to every little detail will make you feel welcomed and right at home. It was warm enough to use the outside patio and fireplace so every night we enjoyed a warm fire and comfortable seating with a cozy blanket. The hiking was spectacular and can’t imagine how much better it could be in the fall. We hope to have repeat visits in this amazing home!

Absolutely Stunning Property!

Birch Bluffs is perfect - location, scenery, and design. Each room was well-equipped with everything you need for meal prep, relaxation, and entertainment. The owners left detailed instructions for how to use all appliances, thermostat, etc; as well as lots of options for local attractions and restaurants. Our family of 7 adults and 2 babies had a fantastic time and definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for an upscale VRBO on the North Shore.

Lake Superior Escape

We had a fantastic stay at Birch Bluffs. The property was amazing with breathtaking views of the lake. We were very comfortable at Birch Bluffs with clean and comfy bedding and furniture. We had access to anything you would need in the kitchen, and enjoyed the local wine, coffee and treats left by the host. Communicating with the host and check-in/check-out was seamless. We couldn’t have asked for better accommodations at such a great property and location. We easily accessed Lutsen, Tofte, and Grand Marais. Would definitely recommend this property and would stay there again!

Lutsen 99er

Much of our family were participating in the Lutsen 99er bike race. Coming in from various parts in the country. These accommodations were amazing and perfect for our family. Great location, kitchen stocked with anything you could ask for, and wonderful layout. I can not say an enough good things about it. The host was extremely responsive. Thank you Jennifer!

A Great Escape!

We had the most amazing few days with our family of 3 boys staying at this beautiful property. Every little detail was thought of to make our stay so enjoyable. The views of Lake Superior are stunning from every room and we enjoyed watching the waves hit the rocks from the comfort of a cozy fireplace and luxurious accommodations. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to feel like you are in the comforts of your own home. I wish the weather was slightly warmer as we would have loved to enjoy the beautiful screened in porch with its own fireplace. Just stunning! We can’t wait to go back!

Great place!

This is a wonderful house! Spacious and clean, with a very well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. It's in a spectacular location with a path and stairway down to the lake. The ONLY imperfection: The dining room table has only 6 chairs. There are no extra chairs (I searched everywhere, hoping to find a few folding chairs stashed away). When we had more than 6 people at dinner, some of us had to sit on bar stools at the kitchen counter.
