Our stay was perfect for my wife and our dog! Check in instructions were super clear and easy. Jennifer was a great responsive host and the place was so clean and homey. We will gladly stay again!
This unit had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the location was fantastic. Our dog really appreciated the panoramic views and walking around the gorgeous property.
This was my husband’s 50th birthday weekend. It was supposed to be so wonderful and it turned out not to be anything like that.First, the photo shows that the hot tub has a curtain it does not, nor does it heat up adequately. The place is very dirty, cobwebs everywhere you can tell nobody wipes down the walls or the fans in the place. The fireplace did not work at all. There were two other couples staying in other units and even with everybody having 4 x 4‘s you could not make it up the driveway because it was so much ice. Yes, they did have somebody come out and plow, and lay down ice, but it was way too hard to get in and out of the driveway.
The main thing we found was lack of higiene, poor sanitary conditions & a number of maintenance items. These are the things we consider that need to be changed/replaced/fixed in this cabin - Pillows - they all need to be replaced. The pillows that we were provided were stained, dirty, and smelly. - Mattress - it needs to be replaced. We found yellow stains and blood stains. We sensed a strong urine odor on the bed. - Bed sheets had hair which made us question if the cleaning person did change them before our arrival. We requested and received new sheets but there was still a bad odor from the mattress. - The ground in the steps is muddy so it needs additional stones or gravel. - Couch - It had a fish smell. - Dishwasher - unstable. Couldn’t close it & run it.- Refrigerator - ice maker doesn’t work. - Electrical outlet behind sink - needs to be repaired. It doesn’t work. - Thermostat - didn’t work correctly on heat or AC.The positive side of this cabin is that is near town, and it has beautiful surroundings. If the problems identified are fixed, it could be a good choice.
My husband and I needed a mid-week getaway and this was the perfect spot! The view is perfect for watching the sunrise and the hot tub was perfect for star gazing! Downtown Boone was a 10 minute drive and so was the Blue Ridge Parkway. Everything was clean and the bed was really comfortable!
We had a great time staying at Copper Springs Cabin. This was our first time using VRBO and Jennifer made it tremendous. We were celebrating our anniversary and my wife's birthday while seeing the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains.
The fireplace and hot tub were great. We enjoyed sitting in the jacuzzi out under the stars. The picture windows give good views of the mountains while sitting in front of the fire place. The kitchen was stocked well with utensils and plates allowing me to make a steak dinner with all the fixings.
Cute and cozy cabin but not quite what we expected
A few really great things - this cabin was in a great location, very close to Boone and the Parkway. We saw a few deer at the cabin. The AC works great. Mattress was very comfortable. Cabin was decorated nicely.
A few things that needed attention.
The hot tub had a good bit of dirt in it and the owner said that would be remedied, but it was not. Hot tub has one small panel for privacy. People parking above can see right into it. The hot tub filter also makes loud sucking noises at times. A little disappointing for our anniversary trip.
Bed frame squeaks very loudly when getting in/out. There were a few very dim or non-working light bulbs which made it somewhat dark. Also, ceiling fan in the bedroom did not work. Towel bar in bathroom is broken, but there were some hooks available for hanging towels. There were exactly 2 thread-bare towels that left fuzz on you. There were no towels provided for the hot tub.
