I was disappointed to learn only one bedroom was on the main floor, but it was a large one and we were able to get the grandkids in there with us in there pack-n-play and cot.
It was a great place, easy to find, where we could relax after a long day outside.
After first stay communicated with owner and he reassured that the cleanliness issues would be corrected. Two weeks later our second stay there were still cleanliness and safety issues that we’re unacceptable.
The home has gone through a very low-budget renovation. The accoutrements (i.e., EVERYTHING inside the house) was either the cheapest stuff Walmart sells or likely junk found in yard sales. The AC downstairs worked but the portable AC upstairs barely worked, was only in one room, and was so loud it was crazy (you couldn't sleep in that room). Tons of delayed maintenance like the smoke alarm with no batteries in (the battery door just hanging open with no battery), slow shower drain (stand in a ankle deep water while showering), the list goes on. The electronic door locked didn't work - it took more than an hour to get a respose from the owner. I wouldn't treat tenants like this - an unfortunate experience.
We've stayed there for three years straight. Each year the property is a little worse for wear. It is clean, just getting worn.I was disappointed that there was no frying pan in the kitchen. That made making meals quite difficult.I would recommend this property to others.
House was nice but the main bedroom sink hardly drained at all. Mold in coffe maker as previous renter did not empty and was not cleaned by cleaner. Don't expect to use firepit as it is in very poor condition. Manager said he would address issues with manager partner.
Hello, my friends and I had a gig near this area and needed a place to stay for a night. This house was perfect for us! Everything was very clean and the host was on top of communication. I would reccomend this house!

House could get more stars if the following were fixed
These were the deficits we encountered:1.Instructions for house entry were wrong 2.The microwave was very poor at heating3.The dining table only has three chairs 4.One upstairs bedroom blind had many missing slats - no privacy5.The shower spray downstairs was like needles and could not be adjusted6.There were no mattress pads on the beds7. The upstairs toilet had no toilet paper roller
Parked in the mud. Class V needed. First step coated in ice. Gutter needed. Scented laundry detergent drove allergies crazy. I’m pretty sure the furnace filter needed to be changed. My friend also had some sinus issues. Everything else was just fine. I would open all the windows and air the place out next time.
My group recently stayed for an ice fishing trip and we had the best experience. The check in was one of the best I’ve had. House was clean and more spacious than I thought when booking. We thought we forgot a bag and the host was very responsive and helpful. Thankfully it was just tucked in a fish house…. Will be back here for sure!
It is a three bedroom, 2 bathroom house, recently updated, laundry, and a bigger kitchen. I was here on business with one of my colleagues in the winter and we didn't have problems. Communication with the owner was really good too.
The house is in a great location, one block from main street in Ortonville. House is perfect for a hunting and fishing weekend. House was clean, plenty of beds and the kitchen has everything you need cook your own meals. We will stay again.
