Meticulously maintained 3-bedroom/2.5-bath home with 2 living rooms ...one for parents and one for the kids! Enjoy the amenities you'd expect in an upscale rental including (2) new LG Smart TVs, fast WiFi, comfortable furniture, gas fireplace, fridge w/ice-maker, front-load washer/dryer, large propane grill, dishwasher, 2-person jacuzzi tub in the primary suite and firewood included for the private backyard pit! Located on Long Lake Peninsula, Guests will enjoy the association's concrete boat launch and shared lake frontage (hard sand bottom with a swim area and swim raft) in addition to the private park and treed walking neighborhood.

Downtown Traverse City is a 15 minute drive. This location is ideal providing easy access to Traverse City entertainment, Interlochen Center for the Arts, infamous Moomers, casinos, sand dunes, golfing, skiing, and all that the greater Grand Traverse, Leelanau, and Benzie areas have to offer.

Long Lake is the largest lake in Grand Traverse County sized at 2800+ acres. It is also the 30th largest inland lake in Michigan. Long Lake contains 4 islands. Discover the public walking trails and picnic tables that can be found on the islands. Long Lake is also known for great fishing with depths up to 70 feet. There is plenty of room in the driveway to park your boat and trailer.

Please keep all smoking outside and cigarette butts removed properly. Daily maid service is not available.

Used this lovely home to explore the Traverse City area and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Doesn’t hurt that it’s not far to visit the very popular Moomers dairy farm with outstanding fresh made ice cream!

We have family on Long Lake and this was the perfect location to visit with them. We had enough room for our kids to spread out and the kitchen was well equipped to cook dinner for the entire family.

Stay was nice and cozy for our family vacation! I had family in the area so it was nice to have “tourists”. Location to the lake was nice and boat rental was very easy! If I could ever talk my Buckeye husband into going to “the state up north” we’d for sure be back and use the same rental! The power did go out one night due to a quick storm and the owner contacted us to make sure we were okay and when the power was due to come back on so that was great! 10/10 stay

It all starts with the host...Audrey was amazing and very helpful. This was my 1st experience like this and I can't wait to do it again. We were close to everything we needed within 15-20 minutes. The decor of the home was great and you can tell that alot of thought came into this home. I would recommend this home for anyone its amazing!

Charming cottage across from the lake

Plenty of comfortable space for our family of four. We’ve been renting houses/condos through Vrbo for 15 years and I have never seen a better stocked kitchen! Loved using the grill for local whitefish and fire pit for s’mores at sunset. Audrey was wonderful to work with and we hope to return in the future!

Very Relaxing Time in TC

We had a wonderful time at this place last week in TC. The house was extremely clean and the owner had excellent communication. The area is so quiet and lovely. It is also very close to anything you want to do i.e. golfing, shopping, movies, Moomers, etc. The beach is a 1/4 mile walk but, it is a nice area for the kids to play when you arrive there. No complaints. We had an excellent time!

Lovely stay near the lake

This is a very comfortable, clean home with access to Long Lake. We cooked almost every night of our stay in a kitchen that has all the amenities. My son and daughter-in-law and their twin children stayed downstairs which was perfect for them. The host provided toys for the children which they enjoyed playing with. Our communication with the host was excellent. She was extremely helpful. We really enjoyed our stay in beautiful Traverse City.

Lovely home but not set up for seniors....lower level ( basement) was beautiful but the steep highly polished steps were a challenge especially with the no shoes policy listed on every door..it was convenient to our wedding venue and the owner responded immediately to a question..

Girls Weekend

We were looking for something out of the way and quiet and that's exactly what we found. The house is adorable and well maintained. Bigger than we expected with all the modern appliances and absolutely everything we could possibly need or want was there. The beds were comfortable and bedding was high quality. We loved the fireplace and appreciated it during the cool nights even in September. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could ever need and then some. Audrey has literally thought of everything and was available for us if we needed her via text. Will definitely stay there again and again.

Wine and relaxation

Came to the area for the first time looking to do some wine tasting. Found this property and it looked to be in a great location - close enough to enjoy the wineries and downtown Traverse City, but remote enough to be quiet and relaxing at the end of the day. Owner was amazing to work with, house was very clean, comfortable (I’m a bit of a mattress snob and slept great) and it had everything we needed in the kitchen etc. Covid caused some adjustments to standard procedures, but everything was communicated ahead of time and there were no surprises! Great trip…even if we had to cut it short because of an injury. Would definitely stay here again!

The house is in a wonderful neighborhood. Clean and very spacious. Water access is a short walk down the road and the neighborhood is quiet. The lake is amazing. Would book every year but we just got a dog and this is a no pet property.

Good location for getting in and around the TC area. Just far enough away to be peaceful after a full day of activities. House has everything we needed and fit seven of us comfortably (including four teenagers!). Owner was easy to work with and very prompt with any questions or issues we had. Really enjoyed our stay!

Girl’s Trip!

Stayed three nights (11/07-11/09), at this immaculate, cozy , fully equipped charmer. Loved everything about this home. Loved the no shoes policy. Cleanliness was definitely a plus. Friendly neighbors gave us a history of the islands and the Peninsula during our wintry hike to the lake! Beautiful area. Fabulous home. Great owner! Plenty of room . Would definitely stay again! Weekend Stay

Wonderful experience! We were in town for a weekend soccer tournament. We had 4 adults and 2 children for the stay and the house had plenty of space. The house is adorable, comfortable, and very clean! We had everything we needed for a nice weekend stay. The owner, Audrey, was helpful and great at communicating. We would definitely stay at this house again in the future.

When my wheels turn onto Long Lake Peninsula, I unknowingly exhale and instantly relax. "I am home." I purchased this home at a young age, many many years ago. Memories include bringing my babies home, them riding their trikes down the driveway, many walks to the beach, parties at the park, and good times with friends and neighbors. I continue to lovingly renovate and upgrade this cherished getaway and 'go back home' often. I hope you feel the warmth and love inside these walls the moment you walk through the doorway:)

Why they chose this property

The drive in is slow-paced under a canopy of trees with peeks of the calming lake. Neighbors smile and wave as they walk their dog. Life just seems to slow down on Long Lake Peninsula.

What makes this property unique

All the wood trim and countertops were made by us from trees we cut from Grandma's property. The stones in the shower are from Dad's lake....I spent a year slicing them like bread. Every inch of this house is personal.
