Best Vacation Rental Ever!
This turned out to be a nearly perfect place for our family to stay for our Florida vacation. The house is attractive, well maintained, and well laid out for a group like ours. There was plenty of space for all three generations to relax in, with space to share when we wanted to be together, and space to retreat into when we wanted time to ourselves.
One of our favorite features was the screened-in lanai, which always seemed to catch a cooling breeze, even on the hottest days. We spent most of our quiet time out there, and ate all our meals out there, too.
The young kids loved spending all their non-beach-time in the pool. The shallow end is just the right depth for a six year old to play in without help, and an adult can stand up in the deep end to provide support when the kids want to be adventurous. The adults loved watching them and joining in the play in the bug-free screened-in enclosure.
The house is located just three blocks away from a beautiful white-sand beach. Our whole group walked there multiple times a day to enjoy the gentle surf, with waves just big enough to give a convincing "ocean experience" but small enough to allow the kid to play independently. With the beach so close, we even went out on after dark beach combing expeditions, where we experienced a variety of sea life that is not seen during the day. (Be sure to bring head lamps if you plan to do this.)
Overall, I can't imagine a better place to stay for a fun and relaxing vacation.
