What a great place to stay! My only complaint is that we didnt have more time here. The sunset over the lake was gorgeous, the setting was so relaxing.
Stayed 3 nights in a snowy mid-March for a grown-up gals spring break XC ski trip and my group had a such a blast! Hosts were quickly responsive and so helpful to the questions we asked. Beds were comfy, things were clean and stocked; we encountered no supply or mechanical issues while on property, had plenty of hot water, good water pressure, and of course the view and the hot tub were amazing. As usual for a UP winter, our trip was bookended with snowstorms so we particularly appreciated there being a shovel and push broom to use outside, and the plow service showing up in a timely repeat fashion so we could get in and out of the drive easily (with AWD and snow tires - smart callout recommendation by host!) Location was perfect for us for both shopping and XC ski trails, roughly equidistant to Calumet and Houghton. We were sad to leave, LOL. Would stay here again and I heartily recommend the property and hosts! 🩵
The kids loved the beach and the house was very comfortable. It had all you needed for beach play and a fire at night. It was good base to go up the coast and hiking in the Porcupine Mountains. Kids loved the Chutes and Ladder playground in Houghton.
Beautiful…..the house was spotless and well-maintained. We loved cozying up by the fire and the hot tub was the perfect way to relax and take in the stunning views.
This was the perfect spot to celebrate Thanksgiving with our Michigan Tech son. The house was very clean, comfortable, well stocked with towels/kitchen supplies, and offered a great place to enjoy the many moods of Lake Superior over the holiday.
It was a beautiful property in every way. As a family of water enthusiasts, the view of Lake Superior, from placid to an angry sea, was memorable. We had hoped to see the Northern Lights and unfortunately did not, but we still enjoyed our stay.
Sincerely our nicest, most relaxing vacation ever! The house was immaculate; everything kindly provided by the host- just bring your clothes and personals. Bright and cheery home, very comfortable furnishings and beds were heavenly! Gorgeous views and very easy access to the private shoreline, where we spent most our time swimming, rockhounding, enjoying the campfire and hot tub. Much to see and do in the area, but we so enjoyed the peacefulness, nature and beauty, we rarely left the site. Great WiFi, but please consider “unplugging,” as we did! Our host Kari was wonderful, emailed thorough pre-arrival info, and seamless check-in and out. We can’t thank you enough for everything. Already reserved for next summer!!
The house was amazing. The weather didn’t cooperate for stargazing, but the house was amazing so it was still a great trip. Great fire pit outside, amazing hot tub, and that view! And I have to echo the other comments I’d seen on the massage chair, it is soooooo good!
Easy check in and check out process, great responsiveness from the owners; all in all a great experience. Definitely need to go up there again when the weather will cooperate a bit better for stargazing. Still was a great trip with friends to just disconnect and enjoy one another’s company!
Beautiful home with all of the extras. They put so much thought into extra details. Everything was so clean and perfect. The view from the deck is breathtaking and Dan and Kari were so helpful with everything. We absolutely loved it. The massage chair was a SUPER extra benefit. So many quality details like night lights on the switches and lights that dim. The hot tub was clean and perfect. Thank you so much. We hope to be back soon!
