About the host
Your host

Your hosts have been welcoming guests from all over the country- and beyond- for a decade. We are international travelers ourselves. Maggie manages the home, and is normally available to assist with any questions about the property, the neighborhood or the wonderful things to do in Sarasota and the tropical surroundings. Mike is the handyman of the operation, and also good fun. You will enjoy their company if you want to be social, but we have come to understand that most prefer to just chill in the privacy of their own place.
BTW- Maggie speaks some Spanish, French and Swedish, and loves to practice on others!

Why they chose this property
This studio has a name- "Suite Flamingos"- and is located within walking distance of famous tropical Jungle Gardens, where you can mingle with a flock of real flamingos and many other Florida species! Walk to the Sun Circle park to view the sunset over the bay- bring your pup if you have one. The UTC mall is top notch- every kind of eatery and shop that you can imagine, incl. apple and Tesla. Visit Lido Beach- and enjoy an amazing outdoor shopping park of St. Armand's Circle while you are out there (rent a Veo bike or scooter to get around)- beach clothes or evening wear, all welcome there! Siesta Key is a little further south- and has boating, parachuting, a darling village with bars and music. Anna Maria Island is further north, and has lots of "old Florida" village life plus 3 beaches to explore. See birds and alligators in Myakka State park.
Sarasota is the jewel in the crown of the Culture Coast- theatre, music, dancing, ballet and opera, museum, festivals- We have it all! During "High Season", especially, there is something to do every day. Ask us for suggestions!

What makes this property unique
IF your life centers around cooking, this may not be your first choice. There is no oven or kitchen sink for you to slave over. But-- if you love to visit restaurants, grab take-out or have your meal delivered, or bring home a sandwich and fruit you picked up while exploring, you could live here for years (and visitors HAVE!) Your own little cafe table inside- and another outside- awaits, so make your coffee at home and grab some hot oatmeal from your microwave, or yogurt from your fridge, and plan your day in peace and quiet. We note that a glass of wine at the end of the evening requires no oven. This is for those who love a "No muss- No fuss" lifestyle. You could get used to this!
