Stay away from this place

Numerous issues 1. wet towels and sheets left in washer despite my telling owner that was a complaint of a previous guest. 2. There is a step down into the living room but the flooring is the same so you don't see it. My husband fell and seriously injured his back. There should be tape on the step. 3. coffee maker had old grinds in it. 4. no towels in half bath. 5. You have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other bedroom and bathroom and there is no door from that first bedroom. You couldn't stay there with non intimate family or friends, In general this was a terrible experience. There is no consistent upkeep of the house. I recommend taking this house off your list. I am requesting AT LEAST a partial refund. This place is not cared for and is dangerous.

Overall, this was a disappointing stay. We left after 1 night of our booked 2 night stay and while the host was communicative and did fulfill our request for a partial refund, I could not in good conscience recommend this property until some serious kinks are worked out. The main issue with the property was the overall cleanliness. Everything on the surface looked clean but as soon as we walked through the door we were overwhelmed by an overpowering artificial smell of air fresheners. The floors were sticky, and when we wiped them down with a rag they were entirely filthy and covered with dirt and grime. Carpets were also stained in spots and looked like they hadn't been cleaned properly in a while. Outside of the cleanliness of the property, there were also just a few minor things that were not deal breakers but irritating. There were no wifi instructions in the home so we had to write to the host to get that information, and it took 3 hours for them to get back to us so we were without access to wifi. There were also no towels anywhere downstairs either in the half bath or in the kitchen, so after washing hands you had to go upstairs and hunt around for towels. The house itself is also strangely laid out, the second bedroom has a very sloped ceiling so just to get to the other side of the room you have to duck. Access is also through the primary bedroom bathroom/closet which is just odd. Again the host was kind and did offer a partial refund.

The owner was extremely quick with responses to any questions I had. The first floor was nicely updated. The kitchen had KitchenAid appliances, a coffee maker and toaster. It had some dishes, cookware, and silverware, but not great. Bring your own coffee, cone filters, spices, etc. Although the kitchen and bathrooms were clean, we had some issues. Upon arrival I noticed there were no towels. I messaged the owner who assumed I had not looked in the right place. Turns out, the house cleaner took the towels home to wash them and forgot to return them. She delivered the towels the next morning. There were wet sheets in the washing maching and dirty rags under the kitchen sink. The outside area needed attention. The patio had not been swept, there were spider webs and the outdoor furniture was dirty. The grill/griddle had not been cleaned. There were other small things not worth mentioning. The price was reasonable, but there should be more oversight with cleaning and preparing the home for guests.
