Escape to the Lost Sierra away from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you're looking for rejuvenation or quality family time, this is the place! Cozy up around the fireplace, play some games, read a book or simply disconnect and enjoy the silence. This roomy 2,800 sq. ft home has been recently updated with our guests needs in mind. Located within 1 mile of Davis Lake where you can spend a lazy afternoon fishing, kayaking or paddle boarding. If it is golf you prefer, Grizzly Ranch Golf course is just 7 minutes away and is ranked in the top 100 greatest public courses in the nation in 2021 Golf Digest. Not to mention 4 other golf courses in close proximity! Maybe you want to explore Graeagle? It just a short 1/2 hour drive away. Or sip a craft beer at Brewing Lair in Blairsden. For those people that want to explore what Plumas County has to offer, there are many great places to see such as Frazier Falls, Lakes Basin or Sardine Lake.
Hiking, biking and wildlife viewing is plentiful in the area during spring, summer and fall. In fact near the Davis Lake dam you will notice the bald eagle nest. During the winter months at the lake, you can spend a peaceful afternoon ice fishing or snowshoeing. For the adrenaline junkies bring your snowmobiles - there are plenty of places to go nearby!

4 wheel drive highly recommended and a MUST in the winter. The home is on a dirt road and can be rutted.
No open fires! Dogs must be leashed. NO PETS ON FURNITURE PlEASE. Please lock car doors and don't leave food in the car. We have bears!
The home is on a septic system so no flushable wipes or anything other than toilet paper in toilets or food in the kitchen disposal.

Very comfortable and relaxing stay. Plenty of room for everyone including our dog. The location is gorgeous and we got to enjoy lots of wildlife. Close to Lake Davis and Portola.

Place was tucked off the beaten path, quiet, fun, plenty for the kids and dog to do when we were there. Having the kids downstairs is awesome. Kitchen stocked with plenty of utensils. Big lining room for all to play games and relax. Fire pit and grill was rad. Nice relaxing spot.

A group of guys stayed together to play golf at nearby Grizzly Ranch and the beds, (even the pull out couch) were comfortable and it worked perfectly for our group. Plenty of room for friends to stop by for dinner after the rounds.

Cozy Mountain Getaway

We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend at Rocky Cliff Retreat. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and perfectly nestled in the beautiful Sierra Mountains. The owner was very approachable and responsive, which made everything smooth from start to finish. We really enjoyed the peaceful setting and cozy atmosphere. A few mosquitos here and there, but nothing that took away from a great stay. Highly recommend!

Tranquil Portola Stay

Rocky Cliff

Perfect for 4 of golfers. Super close to Grizzly Ranch. Nice and quiet with a fire pit and BBQ on the deck. Very private and comfortable. I would stay again and recommend this house.

Great family summer lake trip

My family rented the cabin as a home base for a weekend at the lake. The cabin was clean, spacious, and stocked with thoughtful amenities and fun games. We would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Beautiful, spotless, welcoming home

The property is well kept, the decor is absolutely beautiful and welcoming. We had a great time during our stay, the house is located in a very dusty road but is really close to great hikes, lakes, stores, restaurants. We would absolutely stay here again. The managing company was very attentive to our needs, they responded very quickly.

Lake Davis trip

We really enjoyed the property . Spacious, clean very calm . we love cooking and we had all the cooking tools needed. Proximity of lake David and the mountain bike trail was jus perfect for us. We will be back!

Comfortable, well equipped home

A great comfortable home that has a lovely deck with fire-pit, BBQ, comfortable deck chairs, well equipped kitchen, comfortable couches and beds. About 12 miles from Portola, and several miles from Davis Lake.

Christmas in a Cabin

The entire experience was amazing. Since before we even had gotten there Lisa was responsive and super helpful. The cabin was exactly like the pictures, very modern and homey. The ugg blankets had to be one of my favorite things at this property! Overall, it was great!

Lovely, large, comfortable space nicely equipped with everything needed for a fun getaway. There is no air conditioning but, between the living room ceiling fan and windows, the place stayed nice and cool (just make sure each window/door screen has no holes before opening it as there are LOTS of bugs outside). Both bathrooms are on the second floor so anyone sleeping downstairs must be willing (and able) to climb stsirs

This location is off the beaten path and was very relaxing and enjoyable. The towels were new and soft, toilet paper was the best ever, soap, shampoo at every sink and shower, kitchen very well stocked with cooking ware. The only comment is the weather was hot during the days and upstairs was very warm by the end of the day and with no ceiling fan in master and no ac was a little uncomfortable, BUT the two bedrooms down stairs were excellent and very cool and comfortable. All in all if we ever come back this direction we are booking this place again.

Perfect Cozy Cabin Home!

My father-in-law was in town from Florida for a couple weeks, and we wanted to get out of the city. From the moment we walked in, we fell in love with the attention to detail in this home. All things mountain, cabin, rustic, modern, cozy and clean!! The tub was amazing! The cozy living room was perfect for relaxing with the fire going and the rain, so lovely! The downstairs area had plenty to do with board games galore. The kids had a blast! Such a perfect weekend. The owners have really gone above and beyond to make your visit at this home feel like a mountain retreat. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us! We can’t wait to come back!

Lovely home but few suggestions

House beautifully appointed & well stocked kitchen. Be OVERT in listing: NO bathrooms downstairs. One of our party missed step in middle of night and fell. Propane tank for fire pit empty. Door code never worked for entrance or locking when leaving. Garage entrance fortunately worked. Garage is too small for large SUV (fyi). Hallway bathroom toilet only intermittently flushes - have to wait 'til tank refills. Otherwise we had a great stay
