We loved our stay at this property. It was clean, very comfortable with easy access to the water. We really enjoyed the dock where we easily launched our paddle board. Pontoon boat rentals from this resort make it easy to enjoy the water for a relaxing Michigan vacation! We highly recommend Northaire Resort!!!
Perfect location with easy access to multiple lakes. Our host was so helpful with directions and places to go. It was so nice to have a boat dock. Our only small suggestion for improvement would be to provide an outlet somewhere to plug your boat in for charging. Had a great time. Thanks so much for having us!
Just amazing accomodations and customer service. Treat you like family!! Rented one of their boats and they made sure we had a safe fun trip. Taught us how to run the boat and showed us the lake and then us and our dogs were off. I will be back for sure!!
The location and the lake is absolutely beautiful. At the last minute , prior to check in, we were asked to move from the main house to cabin 1. The bathroom is cabin 1 is tiny and could use some updates. We had some members of our group that needed to work from home, we were farther from the router and on a few days the connectivity was sketchy. Overall the week was quite enjoyable, the cabin had what we needed, good location, kitchen, nice kitchen table and three bed rooms with double beds.
Our family spent two weeks in the main cottage and had a great time. Dale and his staff are amazing! Very friendly and helpful all around. Dale was very knowledgeable of the area and gave excellent suggestions for places to go. Highly recommend renting a pontoon boat from them for more than a day as there is so much to see and do there on the water - Bellaire, Torch, Elk Rapids and of course, Clam Lake which was so good for water skiing, tubing and swimming. There are only minor things that I can think of that could be improved upon; primarily the state of the kitchen. It was hard to find pots/pans, utensils that were suitable for cooking. The cottage is getting older and could use some fixing up but for the purposes of our trip it was lovely. Some miscommunication early on gave us a scare with the boat rental but Dale and co. were very accommodating and made everything work out in the end. It was a perfect location for both boat travel and day trips to surrounding sites. Overall it was a fantastic two weeks and we would definitely return. Thanks Dale!
Answered any questions I asked, had a little shop underneath which was kind of cool and convenient. Nice area but I'd rather be in town on the beach. Isn't far from town tho.
We stayed 4 nights at The Northaire. It was a great spot for us, our dog and large amount of gear. Our host was friendly and available. The property was charming. The first night was chilly but warmed considerably with bedroom doors open to allow for more airflow. Super convenient location to access Bellaire and Schuss mountain.
Absolutely perfect! The location, staff, amenities & home itself.. all perfect. We will be back for sure! Thank you for making our first Torch trip unforgettable!
Every aspect of the stay was perfect. The only downside was spending alot of money on a pontoon boat that we rented from the facility that had a faulty starboard side pontoon that was taking on water. Would have thought that what we paid to rent this boat it would have been in perfect working order. Overall rating of the entire experiance is 4.5.
Our stay was a good one. The owner and staff were very responsive Before and during our stay. The dock area was nice and the kids could fish straight off the dock. The property was nice. Due to high water levels the walk down to the docks was pretty mushy. The house and cottages are older. We were in the main house and our only real issue was that there are two double beds in the master bedroom, which are very small. With the large bed frames we were constantly ramming our shins. While having both beds allows for there technically to be more sleeping area, who is going to sleep two couples in that room? We ended up sleeping in separate beds because they were so small. I would have preferred one queen bed and the ability to walk to the bathroom without hurting my leg. As they are older and in northern Michigan, there is also no air conditioning. There was a window type unit in the master and box fans in the kids bedroom, just something to be aware of. My brother stayed in one of the cottages and only had box fans. Our best day was spent with family in the massive flamingo that the owner blew up and placed in the water for us. That was our highlight for sure!!
We stayed at the Main House! The rental was super clean, spacious, and cute!! The beds were SO comfortable! We rented a Pontoon for the day and had the best time! The owner is SO nice!!! The property was clean, and kept up! We will be back!!! Awesome spot! Thank you!
The main house at Northaire Resort is a lovely up north cabin experience. The cabin is quite nice, has a washer and dryer which is convenient and has an air conditioning unit in the master bedroom that also keeps the bunk bed room very comfortable. That was very nice. It was also extremely convenient and reasonably priced to stay at Northaire and rent a boat here for the week. I cannot tell you how much fun we had with my adult daughter being able to cruise the chain of lakes, relaxing and enjoying the beauty of pure Michigan whenever the mood struck us. The weather was absolutely perfect by the way! The only reasons I did not give all 5 stars is because the gas grill and deck furniture on the back deck was so over used and dirty that we couldn’t sit out there. That left the side yard which was very lovely and provides a nice view of the lake but is close to the road where day boat renters park their cars starting early in the morning. They came in very excited to start their day on the lakes; chatting excitedly, unloading their gear, food, toys onto our picnic table as we were trying to have a quiet cup of coffee and breakfast. If we were able to use the deck, it would have been perfect. One other suggestion. There is only one fire pit for the resort which is down close to the waterfront cabins and quite a ways away from the main house. It would be extremely wonderful to have a very small portable type fire pit in the side yard for the main house.
We love staying at Northaire Resort! It’s on a beautiful piece of Clam Lake, and there are kayaks, a row boat and a paddle boat to use free of charge. In addition, they offer pontoon rentals right from their docks and also rent out other fun water toys. The cabin was incredibly clean, and the owners are extremely friendly, helpful and easy to reach. We will be back!

Exceeded our expectations,Super clean, roomy and just what we were looking for
This property had everything we needed. We had a party of 8 people and it was more than enough room. The price was fair and the whole process of renting and checking in was super easy. Would definitely recommend this to friends and family.

Clean, beautiful setting & thrilled they are pet friendly!
The house was roomy & very clean. The location on Clam Lake is great. Just a short boat ride to Torch in one direction & a peaceful ride to Lake Bellaire in the other. We brought our boat & docked it on site which was very convenient. We found restraunts & stores close by.
We didn't expect the a/c in the bedroom but were very appreciative that it was there as it was 90 degrees the day we arrived & stayed hot all week. We were also grateful for the washer & dryer.
Being pet friendly got them the 5th star in our rating. Hopefully they continue to allow all members of the family to enjoy this beautiful resort.
Truly a wonderful place. We hope to be back soon.

Nice place, same as always
As always our family had a wonderful time at Northaire. Weather was perfect, kids had a ball. Northaire offers everything we want in a place to stay with the entire family. I have been coming to Torch Lake for over 50 years. It is always a treat.

great getaway
If you're looking for a great place to stay and ice fish the chain o lakes, look no further than the Northaire resort. The accommodations are comfortable and cozy. The location makes it great for accessing all the major lakes in the area, whist allowing fishing to Clam Lake right outside your door. The owners Dale and Sharyl are gracious hosts. Don't forget to stop by the local brewery (shorts) for beer or the Parkside arts!
Thanks again

Northaire Resort
We stayed at Northaire Resort a couple weeks ago. We have stayed at the cabins in the past, and this last visit we stayed at the big house. It was very charming and the view was outstanding. The rooms were spacious and clean. We were very close to a few great dining choices, either by boat or by car. We also watched a few boats on the lake fishing every night. Free WIFI always nice. Number for the owner/landlord always a plus.....they were always available. Nice to know, even though we didn't need them. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come back!
