This was a beautiful cottage with everything we needed for a great stay.
We would definitely stay here again if we ever return to the Olympic Peninsula
This was the perfect size stay for my wife and me, as we got eloped in Olympic during our stay.
Very convenient location, clean house, and fast communication with the owner. We had issues with our code upon our arrival, but I contacted the owner and they were able to help us out immediately.
Overall, lovely stay and I would love to come back!
The house was perfect for our visit after 3 weeks in Alaska. Enjoyed being able to spread out after 4 weeks on the road
Only complaint was we were not able to use the grill.
As close to Hiking from Port Angeles as you can get
Our goal was to have a convenient place to stay near hiking in Olympic National park. Accessible to Mt Angeles, HOH Rainforest and Rialto Beach with waterfalls along the way. The accommodations were exactly what we wanted. We ate our meals in to save time and money. Though there were plenty of restaurants and several grocery stores. The cottage was quiet, clean and well stocked. Excellent trip!
We didn’t get to spend much time at the house but it was very cozy and nice! The best part was watching a family of deer hangout in the front the entire day! Would definitely stay here again in the future!
Great property, recently renovated. Great for two people. Kitchen well stocked for making meals, good BBQ grill. Quiet street even though located next to hospital.
We fell in love with this cottage. The decor and level of cleanliness was perfect. The location was a perfect walk to downtown and the path around the water. The property manger answered our questions in a timely manner and was very easy to work with. The bed was so comfortable and a quiet street as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
We enjoyed our stay, the house was clean & comfy. The deer visited every morning. I guess my only comment would be that it is rather close to the bigger house, than it appears in listing. The bigger house also looks beautiful to rent. Communication with host and checkin was great.
We spent four days in Port Angeles. This cozy and charming cottage provided a great home base. Everything was clean and well kept. It was just the right size for a couple. The kitchen was adequately equipped (not always the case with vacation rentals) and we enjoyed having breakfast on the deck each morning. It was well located to access both Olympic NP and downtown Port Angeles via the coastal trail. Would stay again if we’re ever in the area.
My family (wife and 17-month-old) and I stayed here for multiple nights as our home base to access the Olympic National Park and the surrounding areas. We felt it was the perfect location and enjoyed our experience at the home during our downtimes.
The guest house was exactly what we were looking for. It was one of the cleanest homes we have ever stayed in and we felt the owners were very thoughtful in providing all the niceties (kitchen supplies, grill, etc.) needed for a homey experience. Thanks and hopefully we get out this way again.
House is cute and met all needs for those few days. Thankful the folks provided a fan for the person using the pull out bed.
Was a bit odd that our entire time spent enjoying evenings on the porch we were recorded by the Ring. I understand it's to protect the property. Just maybe disclose the 2 (known) cameras.
Also worth noting, while there is a grill there is no foil, grill scraper, or other grilling tools. We had to run to buy foil just to clean the grill. We made it work, but again worth noting so others can plan accordingly.
Property management came by so I could sign additional forms and provided some great points of interest.
We were concerned with being so close to the hospital, in addition to a hospital over the 4th of July! It was not an issue at all!
All things considered, we would stay there again.
Good views of the hospital! None of the water. On checking in we were informed that we needed permission of neighbours in order to sit in the area that looks out to the water views.
Washing machine broken and were informed on the last day of our stay that
it couldn’t be repaired before we left.
Rubbish and recycling bins totally overflowing and obviously hadn’t been emptied for weeks, probably months.
We had a terrible experience with this property. We arrived to visit our son, who is stationed nearby in the Coast Guard, but could not access the home because the entry code provided by the owner, Jim, did not work. Despite numerous attempts (all captured on video), and ringing the Ring doorbells at both the front and back doors, there was no answer. We called the provided number, left voicemails, and sent texts—still no response.
We also contacted the house representative, Tonya, who had texted us earlier. She refused to come help, stating she had no way to open the door remotely and told us to keep trying to reach the owner. We were left without a place to stay for the night. The next morning, I began calling at 7 a.m. with no luck. After an hour on the phone with VRBO, they finally reached Jim, who said he doesn’t take calls from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m., even though he knew we were arriving after 10 p.m. due to a late flight.
Jim initially agreed to provide a refund for the night due to the incorrect code but later claimed it was user error and refused. We have video proof that the code provided did not work. The property was also dirty, the BBQ pit smelled like a trash can, and there are cameras monitoring guests outside, which felt intrusive.
Do not risk your vacation here. If you arrive late, be aware that no support will be available. Our experience with both the owner and VRBO was disappointing, and it negatively affected our trip.
We stayed at the little guesthouse for a few days as our home base for exploring Olympic National Park. The house was clean, the neighborhood was quiet (aside from the seagulls), and if the weather was clear, you could see the mountains! The house is an easy 5 minute drive into town for restaurants/groceries, or a nice scenic walk along the Olympic Discovery Trail accessed through the 9/11 memorial park around the corner.
We had a small issue at checkin that was easily resolved with a quick call to the owner and had some additional paperwork we had to sign (rental agreement, driver's license, etc) which was dropped off & picked up since we weren't able to coordinate meeting with the property manager.
Checkout was straightforward - putting cleaned dishes away, dirty sheets & towels in the laundry room, and the trash/recycle in the cans just outside.
Ring doorbells on the front and back doors including a view of the rear deck seating area & grill.
Due to unfortunate last-minute circumstances, my friends and I had to cancel our trip to Port Angeles. Jim was very understanding and we appreciate his coordination with customer service to accommodate our tough situation. Would definitely love to rebook here in the future!
My wife and myself had an amazing getaway in Port Angeles and the guest house was the cherry on top. Great place, very relaxing, had everything we needed and more. Location was great, property was quiet, communication was simple and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Who are we in a few words? Jim & Kim, and we have been married for 32+ years. We have (4) adult children and love our family fiercely. We love to travel and really enjoy spending time with our kids. We have owned this property for quite a while and decided to share it with others, we hope you enjoy staying here as much as we do throughout the year.
Why they chose this property
You won't find a property like ours in all of Port Angeles, we have a massive estate sized parcel perched on a waterfront bluff, overlooking the Port Angeles Harbor. Look out past the US Coast Guard Base and you will see Victoria BC and a huge part of Vancouver Island. Our magnificent property has both a large 4 Bedroom & 2 Bathroom Custom Colonial Home, and a cute 1 Bedroom & 1 Bathroom Guest Home, both separately available for vacation rental on VRBO.
What makes this property unique
The guest house shares an estate sized ocean front property with another large VRBO home that we own and is tucked away on a dead-end street with only a few distant neighbors. You won't feel cramped as you stay in our fully updated ( December 2022) guest home featuring luxury amenities and new everything. Walk into the rear shared yard and look out over the expansive water views and delight in a large firepit on the warm evenings while you watch boats travel in and out of the Port Angeles Harbor.
