Our land borders Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands and State Trust Lands which means you have a panoramic view of the desert landscape and dark skies.
We are surrounded by Dark Sky National Parks, State Park, Monuments and communities. Because of this, light population is almost non-existent.

We built this place to be an escape or a place to unwind from our busy and loud daily lives. Embrace the break from the daily grind and find space here on the open desert.
We opened to our first guests in October 2020 with only 3 bell tents, 1 bathroom and a kitchen inside a tent. Even though we have grown and improved the facilities, we are still a small husband and wife owned and run business. You will see us working and cleaning. When you call, email or have questions, you will be talking with us.

We hope to welcome you!

We loved how all the little details were taken care of. They provided everything you need to cook a meal, hot showers and flush toilets, a battery pack in the pod for your phone, lanterns, it's hard to believe there is no electricity! We loved the touches of the complimentary hot chocolate/tea/coffee each morning delivered to our door! The place was so wonderful and magical!

The Perfect Desert Oasis

Stayed at this lovely property in the Cedar Pod and had the best experience! We stayed here while competing in the Bears Ears Ultra. We took advantage of the sauna (incredible) and the communal kitchen, making burritos one night. We also spent an evening in downtown Moab. This is the perfect place for those who don't want to be in tourist-centric Moab and prefer a more relaxing, natural atmosphere. The hosts were fabulous, providing us with tubs for hanging out at Foy Lake and bringing coffee in the morning. They have two sweet pooches and friendly chickens roaming around! Such a special place where memories were made—we will be coming back again and again! Cheers!!

About the host

We are outdoor enthusiasts; love hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, paddling, mountain biking, snowboarding, etc. As we've gotten older, our pace has admittedly slowed down, but we still get out there whenever we can. We also love food, travel, music, life, our fur babies and a lot of other things.

We've been married since 2012 and best friends since 2006. In fact, it was our honeymoon in the Canyonlands National Park that inspired us to open Glamping Canyonlands, our eco-friendly, off-grid campground. If there is anything specific you'd like to know about us, just ask!

We hope we get the opportunity to meet you in the near future!

Why they chose this property

We choose this property because we cannot think of a more perfect place to live. We have traveled inside the United States and outside. If you ask me now, where is my ideal location, I would say Southern Utah. Ask me in 20 years, I would say the same. This is why I moved here.

What makes this property unique

We are surrounded by many of Utah Dark Sky Parks so stargazing and viewing the Milky Way is a dream activity. We are close to Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park. Complimentary sauna, coffee delivery, weekly yoga and monthly astronomy tours (starting 2024) to all our guests. We are off grid but do have strong Wifi. Fully stocked kitchen and communal bathrooms with a special barrel cedar stargazing roof for a unique shower. Free range chickens supply eggs for breakfast (additional purchase). Endless views of the La Sal Mountains and Abjao Mountains. Private hammocks, picnic table, decks, outside chairs and a firepit supply you with a good relaxing outdoor time. Coolers are available to all our guests to borrow during their stay.
