Glad that you enjoyed the beautiful view from your room! It can be a perfect setting for relaxation and reflection. Hope we can host your stay again. Take care!
The loft was a nice property tucked in the mountains. The view of the lake is spectacular! The homemade breakfast delivered daily was delicious. The only downfall was the road leading to the loft.
We wanted some relaxation, peace and quiet. That's exactly what we got. The view from the boat house was outstating.
The breakfast proved was very good.
We were served a hot breakfast every morning. Great lake views. Unfortunately there was no Wi-Fi. Still a good experience overall.

True Getaway
As long as you don't mind the long drive in, the Loft is quite the getaway. It is perfect for a weekend in, away from the hustle and bustle of life. Susan couldn't have been a better host. Breakfast was excellent, delivered right to the door. The lake view (especially in the fall) was breathtaking. Any issues we had were quickly resolved by Susan; she was a joy to work with.
Absolutely wonderful! My husband and I wanted to get away for our 29th Anniversary and couldn’t have picked a better place! Even though Jerry & Susan had to leave for the weekend, they were still very accommodating. The breakfasts were still provided and was soooo good. You won’t be disappointed! If we had any questions, they answered us back quickly. If you love to fish like us, you will catch some Catfish and Bass like we did! We will definitely be back again! Thank you Jerry & Susan for your hospitality and making our stay very memorable! We will be back, hopefully sooner than later, then we all can sit around the fire pit and make memories!

Almost Perfect
We loved everything about this place.. ..except the poor quality mattresses. We tried the queen, the single and the sleeper sofa bed and really didnt get any quality sleep during our visit. Everything else was wonderful. The view, the owner, the breakfast, decor, cleanliness, perfect. We are sad about the beds, because wwe probably wont go again to a place where we know we cant get any good sleep. :(

We really want our guests to be happy. We have not heard this from any other guests that we've hosted. We also wish the guests had mentioned something to us about this, because we would have been happy to try to work with them.

Not on the river.
Susan was very nice and accommodating and the hot breakfast was wonderful. The property is clean and cute. With that said, it is only a studio size apartment; one room with a bathroom but no separate bedroom. There is no view of the river from the apartment. Susan's home is between you and the river, this includes the fire pit. I did not feel comfortable using the fire pit or the river area as it was right in their front yard. Also it is 11 miles from a decent road. That eleven miles feels like 30 due to the twisting, curvy and narrow road. You have to travel slowly to be safe. If you aren't going anywhere once you get settle it is ok, but if you go out daily it is very tiring to drive.

We love when our guests have a great time when they come! We had no idea that Lee wasnt comfortable ,as we check with our guests to see if they need anything. Our followup info also shares the layout and how welcome they are. We have another unit in our building,as we run a B&B ...our guests are welcome to everything-and most of them enjoy everything we have for no extra fees. We hate that there wasnt anything communicated and hope their future vacays are a better fit.:)

Not what we expected
After reading the reviews, we were disappointed in this property. The property is located 11 miles down a substandard roadway. We were almost hit by oncoming traffic several times. The property itself was similar to a camp. The furniture seemed second hand in nature possibly picked up at a garage sale- lampshades were dusty and stained, bedding for pullout sofa was musty smelling. Cell service at this location was very spotty. Direct tv service was in and out. The river in this area was stagnant wouldn’t be relaxing to sit and relax in this spot. The host was very kind providing breakfast and treats in the mornings. However, the property was accessed when we weren’t there. We know this because they left the light on in the locked closet which wasn’t previously on. If you’re in Chattanooga visiting the sites, add 30 mins just to get down the 12 mile road. I’d stay elsewhere if looking to visit Rock City and Ruby Falls.

We're sorry you didn't enjoy your stay.
We wanted to share something just for your own peace of mind-We make it our policy not to enter while guests are in the Loft, & we did not go in during your stay.
The light in the closet goes out at times, making it hard to remember to flip the switch off-we wanted to apologize for this bothering you guys when it came back on. We're for sure not perfect, and make human mistakes sometimes. Have a great week.

Great place on the water
We just got back from a 2 day stay at the loft. Beautiful place with lots of water to look at. Loft looks just like the pictures. Peaceful and quite. Owners are very nice and helpful. Breakfast brought to your door each morning and is very good. Place is out in the country and not a lot of resturants or stores close by so make sure to bring your food from home or before you get there. The owners provides a gas grill to use while you are there we cooked out both nights we were there. We are planning on going back next year when the weather is warm so we can go swimming and use the canoe. If you don't want to set by the water take some lawn chairs so you can set close to the loft and you can still see the water. To get down to the water is steep and twists if you walk down but owner will let you drive down and park close to water area. There are also a couple of flights of stairs to get up to where you are staying. I had knee surgery 3 weeks ago and didn't know about stairs or steep walk to water. If you are looking for a clean, quite, beautiful waterfront getaway you couldn't ask for a better place. The owner does everything they can to make your stay wonderful. The road the loft is on has lots of curves and hills coming in on the Nashville side of 24 is better than coming in on the Signal Mountain side either way you come in the loft is 11 miles down Mullins Cove Rd.
A truly peaceful and tranquil little slice of heaven! The property owner was wonderful with communicating everything with us and the breakfasts were an added treat. My husband and I were looking for a few days to just unwind and this was the perfect fit.
The loft was clean, cozy and equipped. The hosts were very nice and brought a great breakfast every morning! I thought the location was secluded but it wasn’t what I imagined. The road to get there is pretty rough and curvy- it takes 30 min to go 11 miles! Also, the neighbor, who is 20 yards from the loft, has a rooster that crows every morning at 7:30.
What makes this place special is its location right on the river. Note that you cannot see the river from the house itself. But it’s a short walk down to the dock, and the views from the dock are beautiful. You can bring your own canoe or kayak, like we did and set out on a journey from the dock. The lodging itself is pretty basic, it’s really just one room that has two beds and a small kitchenette. There is no stove and no oven, which makes cooking a meal rather difficult. This might not matter if there were lots of dining options nearby, but the closest restaurant is about a half an hour away. We made do with the hot plate that was provided. The host was very friendly and accommodating. If you choose to stay here, you might consider cooking your own meals in advance, and then heating them up in the microwave.
Very beautiful location. Very friendly and helpful hosts.
Me and my two boys (12 and 14) enjoyed the cabin very much. There is access to the river, fishing, kayaking. The view is beautiful. Home made breakfast was fantastic. Room is very cozy. We had everything we needed.
We had a great time at Susan and Jerry’s place. We booked their Mallard room, which was a few steps away from the dock. This area is absolutely serene/beautiful. For the 4th of July weekend the waters were not even busy which was nice to just kick back on the dock or take our kayak out on the lake. It’s not very often that we get to hear the sounds of nature (being from the city). The trip was so peaceful. And just to clarify , the reviews about Susan’s breakfast don’t lie… ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Every morning we got a knock on our door with a picnic basket full of different types of homemade scones and bread. So delightful!!! She also put a hot meal in there too! A couple of examples of the hot food were homemade biscuit sandwiches & fresh scrambled eggs with sausage and veggies. Again, so scrumptious. I told Susan she should open up her own restaurant or cafe !
Also be prepared to drive a little while (30-40 mins) depending on how fast you can driving on back roads, to make it into Chatt. We did get to go into Chatt a couple times. We recommend the minor league baseball team there and also Clumpies ( the best homemade icecream out there , better than Jeni’s) and yes I said that. Also If you are into rock climbing and hiking there are so many great spots around !
This place was amazing and very beautiful!!! The breakfast in a basket each morning was delicious and was such a blessing! Our boys really enjoyed the hot baked cookies when we first showed up! We would highly recommend this place to others!
Great atmosphere, Susan is an exceptional cook, love the breakfast delivered promptly, don’t know how she timed it so consistently, abundant wildlife, just what we wanted
The property is absolutely beautiful! And the hosts were the absolute sweetest I have ever encounter. We ended up staying an additional day bc we were ready to head home. And the breakfast? Amazing! 10/10 would recommend.
My husband and I enjoyed the serene setting outside of the busyness of Chattanooga. Susan was over the top accommodating and a delight to interact with. She makes amazing homemade goodies everyday!!

Why they chose this property
The Tennessee River Gorge has always been our dream since it has everything. Mountains, water fun and gorgeous views.
What makes this property unique
The quietness and serenity of being close to the water are amazing. Going down our road you can see a few goats, wild turkeys, many deer, and chickens. The drive goes through a beautiful Prentice Cooper wildlife management area and is wonderful forest.
