The place was very clean and the perfect size for 2 people. Its kind of barebones but its the perfect location for exploring and we were only there to sleep.
Super cute, very clean. Loved the vibe, private access to the beach was great. Easy access to Jedediah Smith, as well as Southern Oregon (Brookings). Check-in and -out was easy.
Wonderful stay! Our unit was spotlessly clean and adorable! It was nice having individual rocking chairs for reading in the evening and the outdoor Adirondack chairs overlooking the ocean were great for daytime. They are shared with the other units but that was no problem at all. There’s a nice trail to the beach where we watched the pelicans and seals feeding in the surf. Would definitely stay again!
I was in the 1 bedroom it was clean, cozy with an amazing view of the ocean from the yard. Access to the beach was quick and easy. I had an amazing vacation
Wonderful stay at Smith River. Couldn’t have been closer to a great private beach, most of the time we were all alone. Rocks, pelicans, sea otters and a visit from a sea lion. Most definitely will stay again
We stayed for 5 nights. We wanted to be on the ocean and near forest hiking. We couldnt have asked for a better spot. The room was small, but perfect for the 2 of us. It was clean, modern, and a great place to stay in between all the fun stuff.
We had a great time. Exploring all over the area. Beaches and Redwoods. Almost walked into a Harbor Seal early one morning. How cool is that? Nice to head north and south to explore.
I enjoyed my visit especially the beach access. Only comment is that the first night I could hear the people in the room next to mine talking and snoring. A bit irritating when trying to sleep.
Property was as described. Clean and small. No kitchen, just a small refrigerator, microwave and a Keurig. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was nice, the ceiling light heater was quite enjoyable. Shower was a little small. Liked the private beach access. Easy drive to Crescent City. Very close to Oregon. Easy access to the Redwood State and National Parks. Perfect place to lay your head down after busy days. No other units were occupied so it was quiet .
God blessed us with 2 days of beautiful sunny weather and we spent them on the beach. Our third day was misty, overcast and cool so we spent it driving down the coast. Room was cozy. Great.
This property is about 30 steps from the Pacific Ocean! It suits our needs perfectly—great bed, bath with shower, and space with microwave, small refrigerator, one cup coffee maker, table and chairs. This is our second or third time staying in this unit and each time there have been improvements. Thank you for this great place, we hope to return many more times.
The views were breathtaking, we could sit out there for hours watching the waves. The room was small, but perfect for a mom/daughter trip. The only thing I will say about the room is the shower is super small and the internet wouldn’t connect to the tv. Other then that it was a great place.
Take a short walk down to the beach. Beach was very quiet and almost felt like own private beach.
All I needed: microwave, fridge/ freezer, comfortable bed, close to redwoods.
Wifi was ok but i was there for work, if vacationing wouldn't have mattered, and it didn't really interrupt work for me,c just a couple lags while watching tv at night. Nothing that i couldn't handle.
I would definitely stay there again, best value by far.
Wonderful beach access, clean unit, but be aware this is one of three attached units.
The property was nice and the pictures are accurate. The beach access was wonderful and we made friends with the occupants of the house in front of us so we had a wonderful time. Be aware this is a house with 2 attached hotel suites that layer behind the ocean view house. The house is ‘Whale Watchers’ and has amazing views, we had the "Sea Otter Snooze" which has the view shown from the small deck...again, accurate in the picture shown (roughly 6x6 deck) The shower is small, the bedroom was very spacious, the kitchen and bathroom were descent sized as well. Our largest desire is for others to know that these are 3 adjacent units. All 3 renters were surprised to find we had connecting units, but we did enjoy our stay and the beach.
