Thankful to have found this gem of a property for a State Track meet over Memorial Day weekend. Despite the concern of only being one bedroom for 7 family members, the home was VERY spacious! It was beautifully remodeled and worked very well for our group. We had zero parking issues (street parking, my main concern prior to checking in) and enjoyed the central location. The home is located on a busier 4 lane Main Street, but it calmed down significantly in the evenings. We receives a few restaurant suggestions from the housekeeper that were excellent (Sweet Bee’s for breakfast/lunch and Second Street Grill for dinner.) The owner was VERY responsive to questions prior to check-in and the entire reservation process was smooth. For a group our size we typically are looking for more bedrooms to give some more privacy, but we would definitely stay at this home again if we ever found ourselves in Yakima!! Thanks for the nice home base for the weekend!
The outside of the house is deceiving! The inside was clean, spacious updated, and comfortable. Our family was visiting Yakima for a state basketball tournament and the property was a quick 10 minutes from most everywhere we went.
The house is on the upper floor and you could hear people talking below, but it was muffled and no worse than being at a hotel. Also, the front of the house faces a busy street so there was traffic noise. However, since the bedroom is in the back, the traffic was not an issue for sleeping.
The neighborhood was not the nicest, but the front gate made us feel secure and we never had any issues.
The hosts were very responsive and were accommodating. We had a breaker flip and they had someone come right out to correct the issue.
Overall, a great place to spend a few days!

Would not stay again…
Upon arriving, the temperature inside the house was warm. Naturally we searched for the thermostat and tried to use the A/C, which to our dismay was not working with temps of 100+ outside. The issue was never resolved during our stay and the communication was horrible. The only thing we were told is that the maintenance worker was out of town and no offer to make it right. We ended up buying several fans to attempt to cool the place down. You should also know that the bathroom doors do not lock which can get tricky with a group. Overall, we were quite disappointed and would not recommend staying here.
