Great for Kids

This property had plenty of things to keep a group of high school students entertained. They loved the pool table, record player, arcade games, and more. They were engaged with each other. The TV and phones were forgotten!

Family of nine, Vacation

The owner met us at the property and helped us carry our bags in. He was very nice and checked in with us throughout our week stay. Our kids in their 20s and our 9 yr old granddaughter loved the skate park, the hot tub and the video games. The house held us all comfortably. He has black raspberries growing along the building and said we were welcome to pick them, which we loved doing each morning of our stay. Everyone said they’d love to come back again. Thank you George for everything.
Kitchen table and countertop gave everyone a place to sit and eat, plus we played cards at night. Lots of good restaurants near by.
This room had a record player, game machine with all the games from 80s, 90s. It even had Atari games, space invaders, donkey Kong country. TV had all the streaming abilities.
We had my daughter and her husband and newborn plus my two sons and my daughter in law in this room, and no complaints. They had a great time.
I picked all of those in 10 minutes, there were so many of them.

Perfect

I picked this place because of the skate park and it was everything my boys and I needed it to be. George is a great host and made feel at home and addressed any issues or questions we had. George shared the history of his place and the surround town with us which made us live it even more. Hot tub is well maintained and was very comfortable to sit in. The air conditioning was perfect for the 100 degree weather we encountered. My boys and I will definitely be returning.

About the host

Hosted by George Sinclair

Host profile image
I am a life-long athlete with a skating problem! After 50 years of skating competitively, I have settled down to share my life's work w/ other athletes and their families. This location is uniquely situated for easy access to all of the historic sites, and the new Scheels Sports Park. I have lived a life dedicated to creating my own fun through art, music and exercise, and now it can be yours with just a click of your mouse...

Why they chose this property

It quite literally chose me. I knew nothing of Springfield when I moved into the only building in town where I could build a ramp for my friends and I. As with all skateparks back then, it was a blighted area w/ low rent and few businesses. After 36 years of revitalization efforts through buying all of these old buildings, I am proud to announce that we are the new place to be, with a future as bright as those stadium lights!!!

What makes this property unique

1) Location location location!

2) Oldest privately owned Skatepark in the World! (literally)

3) Only stay with Golf and Batting cage plus the skating!

4) Hot Tub, Pool Table & over 40,0000 vintage video games!

5) Best reviews, all things considered!

6) Plenty of outdoor space for enjoyment and relaxation!

7) Responsive host to ensure a smooth experience!
