This unique place has a style all its own! Completely renovated ground level surf shack apartment located conveniently on the Beach Road in Kill Devil Hills yet literally a stone throw away from the Kitty Hawk line! View the surf and sand from inside your bungalow apartment kitchen & living rooms! Skip across the road to private beach access! Knotty pine throughout in this 1955 year old one of a kind space! Easy access to all the OBX has to offer!
The space
This space adopted a Green Turtle - Travel with Purpose when you stay with us and assist in global efforts to help save this beautiful endangered species! No steps to contend with! Covered porch and propane grill greet you at the entrance which leads into full size kitchen and dining area for four. Spacious living room with smart TV, large L-shaped leather couch! Two bedrooms with closets & ceiling fans plus your own controlled AC/Heat in every room! One king bed and one queen! One full bath with tiled shower!

Enough parking for 1 vehicle preferably.
If your group is larger then 4 there are two other spaces that are available to be rented separately! Inquire with your host if you are interested in these spaces as well!
Guest access
Everything in your space is for your enjoyment including the propane grill and outdoor hose at entrance. Inside is all yours except for the locked owners closet.
Other things to note
One bath towel, wash cloth, beach towel, and beach chair provided per person !

Private beach access for all Pelican guests is directly across from driveway.

Nearest public beach access is Arch St!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Gather Used towels: Leave in a pile in hamper or bathroom. Leave beds alone - do not strip!
Throw trash away: Remove all trash from house (kitchen, bathroom, etc) place in dumpster outside of house. Make sure all dishes are clean, dry and put away. 
Turn all lights off. Set AC to 74 in summer and Heat to 68 in the winter at departure. Lock all doors & windows at your departure. If a key was used please put it back in lockbox.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Detailed house rules will be sent to you via message once your reservation is confirmed. If you have questions prior to booking please ask your host!

Lovely home right across the dune to the private beach! Very clean and nicely furnished. Close proximity to stores and restaurants. Check-in was a breeze and host even accommodated an early check-in so our toddler could get inherited nap. Are looking forward to our next visit and would definitely stay here again!!

Overall a very positive experience and we had a very nice stay.I would recommend two things: upgrading the king bed because it's too soft and resulted in discomfort for me and my girlfriend. Additional/upgraded kitchen amenities/appliances.

Wonderful property! Very clean inside the house and short private access to the beach! Property manager/owner will work with any concerns or problems that may arise! Mentioned a set of batteries were dead and within 20 mins there was brand new batteries on the door step!
