THE STAGE HOUSE - CITY CENTER THEATER DISTRICT

Built in 1860, and located in downtown Lancaster’s central business district, The Stage House is adjacent to the Fulton Theater and just a few minutes walk to the Central Market and Lancaster’s Convention Center. The area is well known for it's colonial architecture, as well as its many restaurants, galleries and breweries.
The ‘StageHouse’ is located in the heart of Lancaster’s historic district, directly behind The Fulton Theater and adjacent to Gallery Row. This 1860’s row-home has been beautifully restored with tasteful touches across an open and inviting layout. The main level includes a fully equipped kitchen, adjacent dining area, and a spacious living room with a convertible couch and 65” Smart TV. Exiting the kitchen, guests will find a private outdoor patio, gas grill and table-top fireplace, just perfect for entertaining even on cooler evenings. Up the stairs to the second floor, there’s a west-facing bedroom, with a couch, queen size bed, and walk-in closet. The second floor also has a full-size stackable washer and dryer, and a remodeled bathroom with his and her sinks. Follow the stairs to the third level, and there is a light-filled space loft bedroom furnished with a couch and king-size bed. The space is professionally cleaned and cared for, and our team works to ensure your experience in staying with us is the absolute very best.
Guests have private access to the entire home across three floors, as well as the exterior patio.
Our team is available through the Airbnb app or phone, and we have a local guest ambassador should you need assistance during your stay.

The Stage Houseis dog friendly! Up to two medium sized dogs (65 lbs each) are permitted in the home at a rate of $75 per stay, per pet. Unattended pets left in the home must be kenneled. Rental agreements greater than 30 days require an additional refundable security deposit of $250 per pet and additional pet rent of $50 per pet, per month will be charged separately. No other animals to include cats, birds, or reptiles are permitted at The Stage House.
The home is 420/smoker friendly, but in outside areas only, at least ten feet away from windows and doors.

Great location! Info about parking and links for check in didn’t work, however host was easy enough to contact and remedy. As past reviews have mentioned, there was a fly problem on the window sills. They were not buzzing around the place though. What we really liked about this place was that there were no weird smells and nothing was used to mask smells. Beds were very comfortable!

Great stay in historic Lancaster

The Stage House provided our group with a fully featured experience in the Lancaster theatre district. We were in town for the Roots and Blues festival and the property was in a great location. Our host, Vincent was very communicative and the home was very clean and well appointed. Will definitely stay again!

Vincent got back to me quickly when I had questions. On street parking is available as stated and its outside the front door for a couple bucks a day but definitely worth it. Location is great so we walked everywhere. Beds are comfortable but living room furniture not so much. Lotta futons to accomodate lotsa people. As stated in other reviews, the stairs have to be handled carefully and some folks might not be able to manage. Cleaning job could be better and no flies but full fly traps hanging in a couple of the windows were doing the job. Dog enjoyed her walks and no problem crating her as requested when we were out. Place is great for a weekend getaway!

Perfect Location & Charm

We’re very familiar with the city so knew this was the perfect location- such a great little spot. It will for sure be our new home away from home when we visit- the Downtown Marriott is just too hit and miss anymore. Parking was easy and the home was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. One possible warning for anyone with difficulty getting around- the house is of course historic and stairs are fairly steep and narrow.

Nice historic house

Its a nicely maintained older house in a very central downtown location. Sure, there's quirks with an old house, like the stairs to the upstairs bedroom, but it is well appointed and well maintained with an updated interior and in a great location. Bathroom and kitchen are nicely done and we're in nice condition. The wi-fi and appliances work well too. Overall it's nice here and you'll like it if you're a group of adults looking to stay downtown.

President's Weekend Getaway

Was the perfect location to rent in downtown Lancaster for the weekend. We typically stay at the Marriott which was only a block or two away. Being able to bring our dog (beagle) with us was a plus! We enjoyed being within walking distance to bars/breweries/restaurants/coffee shops/Southern Market & Central Market! We were able to park right in front of the house with the visitor permit and did not move our car all weekend. Looking forward to renting again!

Great rental

Location was great, and property was clean and perfect for our needs. We were worried about street parking but were able to find a convenient spot every single time. I echo the other commenter about the stairs to the loft. They worked just fine for us but would be a struggle/not possible for anyone with mobility issues. We thought it was perfect and would for sure stay again.

Very close to the Convention Center. Fully renovated old building. Only issue is that as an old building the stair steps are very narrow, especially those leading to the 3rd floor bedroom. If you are older or have balance issues, it may be a problem for you.

Significant Fly Issues

This property would be nice except it has a significant fly issue. We never left any of the windows or doors open but every time we returned to the house there were numerous dead flies. We were there for 4 days and the fly issue never improved. I informed the property contact, who apologized, but did nothing to rectify the situation. They did not even come to the property to try to find the source of the issue. I also contacted Vrbo without results. Since flies can carry disease and thus be a health issue, I am disappointed Vrbo is willing to market a property with this issue.
