About this property

Meadowview 2 @Ephraim Beach on Ephraim Village Cottages Resort

(Host is fluent in English and ASL)
Door County, Wisconsin is a special place in its own right but Ephraim is a quiet village perfect for families that want to experience a simpler life, for couples that want to keep the flame alive, for outdoor enthusiasts that hike, bike or kayak, for gals that want girl time, for guys that love to boat and fish, and for everyone else in between who wants to feel at home while on vacation.

Your cottage, which is located on the Ephraim Village Cottage resort property in Ephraim, WI, has everything you need to relax, unwind, and reconnect with family, friends, and even make new friends. Morning coffee (coffee maker and filters provided) is even more delicious while sitting on the front deck. And meals cooked outside on the Weber charcoal grill at your cottage are even more delicious when enjoyed out on the picnic table. Your kitchen is fully stocked (cookware/dishes/serving ware/fridge/oven/microwave), beds are comfy, and of course your cottage is sparkling clean. Please note: We Do Not Provide Towels. Towels are available for rent $5/person/set. A set includes: 1 bath, 1 hand, 1 wash/face cloth. Each cottage that rents towels also receive 2 kitchen towels and a wash rag for dishes.

Meadowview II is a single level cottage with two steps up onto the deck. There are three bedrooms (2 queen, 2 twins). Bedrooms have carpet and the living space has laminate flooring. There is a flat screen TV with Spectrum cable and very comfy furniture. Enough seating for everyone. The cottage sits near the community fire pit and children’s playground but far enough away to not be disturbed by them. The front yard is shared with your hosts and has a nice shade tree. It's perfect to play yard games, throw frisbees, and play catch. It faces a huge wooded area and very quiet Larson Lane and is frequented by our resident rabbits that live in the hedges.

From your cottage you can enjoy a starry night with adult beverages or mornings with beautiful birdsongs and hot coffee. Walk two minutes to the Ephraim beach for some sun, sand, swim and sunsets. Join the other guests in our surrounding cottages for stories, laughter and smores around the fire pit which boasts seating for 12 in sturdy rockers that support up to 350lbs (plus a bench that supports up to 500 lbs).

The driveway is shared with the cottage next door. The driveway will fit three cars parked bumper to bumper or a car/truck and boat trailer on each side of the driveway.

Safety features in this cottage include: smoke detectors, night light, emergency flashlight, fire blanket.

SECURITY CAMERA DISCLOSURE: There is a camera on the main house pointed at the live/wood firepit for safety reasons. There are two additional cameras on the main house monitoring exterior door areas.

Cozy & Convenient

Our stay at Meadowview II was wonderful. The cottage was located on the edge of town, so we felt that we had easy access to Ephraim and could also enjoy the countryside. The cottage was super clean and had the items needed to cook several meals during our stay. We would highly recommend Ephraim Village Cottages!

Clean, nice cottage, very pet friendly

My husband and I and our 80lb greyhound stayed here for 4 nights and it worked out very well. Clean, basic cottage for a (Door County-relatively) low price for its size. They provide a complete cover for the couch, so our dog had a nice spot to sleep. Nice bathroom. Highly recommended if wanting to stay near the water but off the main road. Kitchen worked well for us, but I could see it being a little difficult to prepare a family meal there were we to have stayed there with our kids back when they were small. But this would be a challenge in just about any cottage/cabin kitchen. Master bedroom bed was comfortable. Door wouldn't close all of the way, so we weren't able to keep dog out in early morning. Same issue would arise if you brought kids. Completely contact-free check-in and checkout. All essentials were supplied. Location is absolutely perfect. Walk-able to food and shops in Ephraim, and a very short drive to both Fish Creek and Sister Bay. Husband took a couple of very nice road bike rides on the inner low-traffic roads of the peninsula, easily accessible from this property.

Thank you Nancy for reviewing our property and for the five stars. We appreciate it. Thank you also for sharing your experience inside and outside the cottage, for your compliments about our location, the price, and the cleanliness and comfort. The cottage you stayed in was built in 1970 and with a vintage cottage there are plenty of quirks. The door being one of them. This cottage will receive new flooring (carpet and luxury vinyl) and a bathroom update next week (9/14/2023) and at that time all the doors will get adjusted to fit the new flooring. For potential guests reading your review who may be concerned about kitchen size, I would like to clarify This cottage has a full size stove, a full size refrigerator, two small counters, a table that seats 6 plus other smaller appliances, all needed tools and cookware/bowls/dinnerware to prepare three meals a day if needed. That particular cottage (1 of our 10 onsite) is often the hub for families that rent multiple cottages on the property who choose to gather at this particular cottage for meals because of the huge front yard. Family meals are very do-able in this cottage. We are grateful you had a good time, were able to partake in the lovely walkable Village and of course the quiet Lanes that surround our property for bike rides. We hope you will return and either stay in this cottage after the mini-renovation or choose one of our other cottages that may work better for you should you bring other family members.
