What a beautiful place, Cabin was very clean and comfortable and beautiful lake views from every room … can’t say enough about the property…. Michael did a wonderful job on the landscaping and many sitting areas scattered around the property to relax and take in the view of the lake, Scott caught many fish from the 3 docks, crappy, perch, bluegills, bass and the pike that got away at the dock. Chetek is a nice town too, the ice cream and bakery is simply the best. We stayed for a week and was hard to leave ….

Cabin was clean. Supplied well with essentials. Beautiful views! Outdoors was setup very nice. Fire ring with plenty of split wood and seating. The docks were great for fishing and boat docking.

The property is absolutely beautiful. We had very good fishing off the docks and liked that the dock where our boat was tied up was in a protected bay. Loved that there was an Eagle nest nearby so we were able to see them every day. Michael was very responsive to any questions we had both prior to our stay and during our stay. Looking forward to staying here again!

Great decorations that resemble a northern area cabin. Very comfortable and relaxing. I highly recommend this cabin and its owner was amazing to deal with.

Cabin is wonderful, comfortable, and has the greatest lake views. We couldn't ask for a better place to stay. We had very relaxing and quite stay. The docks on the property are fun and the outdoor areas are beautifully decorated. The outside lighting though out the property is very pretty at night. Will be going back next year.

Spectacular view! Loved the Eagles!

This is a nicely decorated cute cabin. My husband and I brought our boat and enjoyed cruising the vast waterways, fishing, and eagle-watching. We also brought our kayaks and wandered the quieter bays and shallower areas to get a closer look at nature. It was great to have 3 piers to get different views and alternative spots throughout the stay. The grounds and cabin were well kept and the owner did an excellent job communicating with us.

Quiet Escape

This was an amazing cabin to stay at while we recovered from overbooking ourselves. It was lovely and it was quiet. The cabin itself is beautiful. Clean and with views you could watch all day. Anything we may have needed was nearby. The only thing I would warn those that stay and want to cook their own meals, the stove heats to temperatures considerably higher than indicated. Both on the stovetop and esp. the oven. Be careful and set them to at least 200 degrees less than you really want.

This was our first trip to the Chetek area and I’m sure it won’t be our last. We had a great experience with this property. Michael was quick to respond to questions and provided the information requested. I had a problem receiving text messages from him directly but I was able to get the information through VRBO messages. (I think it was my phone carrier having issues.) The property is clean with everything you need to enjoy your stay. A larger bed would be nice but we knew it was a double bed before we booked. Having said that, the bed is very comfortable. As always, read the amenities before you go so you know what expect and what to bring with you. Pack your clothes lightly and take advantage of the washer and dryer.If you’re looking for a place to relax by the lake, this is your best option. Privacy if you want it, spots to hang outdoors enjoying peace and quiet while still being close enough for a trip to town. Take your boat and dock it right at the cabin or rent one from the marina in town. A public boat ramp is about 100 yards from the front door and there’s even a parking lot near by to drop your trailer. While in town, go to one of the best bakeries I’ve ever been in or grab a latte at the coffee shop. Get homemade ice cream with freshly made cones. Fish off the docks, bring your dog, put your feet in the water, enjoy the fire pit, read a book. RELAX! Highly recommend this place.
