Cozy updated space with a gorgeous view of the lake! There was a perfect little spot in the hallway for our daughters pack n play. We enjoyed the hot tub and the views while she slept. Loved that we had access to a hot tub and to kayaks to use on the lake!
We were very impressed with the style and cleanliness of the room as well as the beauty of the lake and the excellent communication and kindness of the host. Would definitely consider staying here again! So peaceful and and such a nice getaway.
This place was absolutely beautiful! Such a remote, calm location that was perfect to recharge. The yard space was amazing and the unit was clean, well stocked, and a great balcony! We had a great time and the host was amazing.
Christine's response time was more than excellent! There was a lot of snow up here in the last few months and we needed the patio shoveled off so we could use the grille for our dinner. She arrived with shovel in hand within three minutes of our text. She was friendly and helpful with ideas for an afternoon of shopping and lunch. The sunrise suite where we stayed was very clean and well appointed. When we arrived, there was a vase of roses to greet us. The short walk to the hot tub (which was clean and the perfect temperature) was made cosier with the provision of complementary robes. All the utensils that we needed for grilling were provided, and there is a small hot plate and toaster oven provided in lieu of a regular stove top/oven. They worked great for us. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood except for birdsong which we loved! We would reccommend!
We always leave a visit at Diamond Lake feelings refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to start a new week. It’s a calm and peaceful environment to come and reconnect.

Clean, with beautiful surroundings and views. Christine is an excellent and attentive host. We booked 2 more stays while we were there. It’s just lovely.
We loved it here !! it was such a nice property, perfect for a couple ! The only miscommunication is that even though it only fits 2 overnight guests, you are not allowed to have any temporary company in the sunrise suite from what we understand. Next time we’ll be using it as a couples getaway !
Absolutely perfect spot for a nice quiet getaway. We picked this area because it’s not too far from Grand Rapids, but enough to see the beautiful night sky during the Perseid meteor shower! We even got to see the Milky Way with our own eyes, no telescope needed!

We love our stay in the Sunset Suite at Blue Heron Retreat. The setting over the lake is beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub and the kayaks, and maybe most of all just watching the sunrise over the lake. Everything was very clean and we loved the extra touches like fresh flowers and lavender. We came to the area to Ike the Dragon Trail and are thrilled to have found such a great place to stay. We will be back!
Just as we pictured, room was so cozy and we could tell it was a newer property. The views and the deck were picture perfect and even thought it rained all Friday, Saturday and Sunday we were able to enjoy the beauty and tranquility. We will definitely be back
God certainly has blessed us with a time of refreshing, reflecting, and reconnecting. Now our focus is on future!! God has been so good and will continue.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Blue Heron Retreat if you want an affordable and majestic experience with a view of the sunrise and a lake that helps you remember just how amazing our creator is come stay with the amazing host Christine. She cares about every detail of your experience being perfect. #TheFutureIsBright
