March Madness

LEX 175 was an excellent property for our March Madness weekend. Great location for restaurants, bars and its proximity to Rupp Arena. Very Clean and quiet. Outstanding communication with the owner before, during and after our stay. Very accommodating with arrival time as we experienced lengthy weather delays. Would definitely stay again!

Great Location

Loved staying here as everything was a short walk in downtown. Although the building lines Main St, it was great to be on the back side of the building to stop any noise.

Terrible — the host (Chris Wirth) cancelled our reservation on the day of arrival after the 3 PM check-in time, around 4 PM.We never received the 2 PM message the host later claimed to have sent. Nothing appeared on the booking platform or directly to us. The first message we actually received came just before 4 PM, an hour after check-in time. Shortly after, the reservation was cancelled on the platform by Rachel without any explanation. I immediately replied that we were already on our way and even added another credit card to resolve any potential issue, but no one responded.What makes this even more confusing is that we had already received confirmations beforehand: trip cancellation protection on Feb 19 and a full booking confirmation with access codes and instructions for 175 LEX on Feb 26. If there had been a payment issue, it’s hard to understand why no one contacted us until the day of arrival, when we were obviously already traveling.We only saw the messages around 7 PM when we stopped in Cincinnati and had to scramble to find a place to stay that night. Traveling with a newborn and a dog made finding last-minute accommodations esp. difficult, and we couldn’t reach Chris by phone or Rachel through the platform.Even stranger, we booked two other properties on VRBO that same day using the same credit card and both payments went through without any issues. So cancelling last minute, lying about when contacting us, made this a terrible, untrustworthy experience.

Guest never paid for the reservation after multiple attempts to reach out. As stated by the guest, we kept the reservation in hopes guest would respond when they could not gain access. Finally, after no response and well after check-in, we cancelled the reservation as this was a sold-out date. We apologized for the inconvenience; however, we remain confident we made every attempt to contact the guest in the days and hours prior to arrival.

My husband and I stayed for the weekend to watch a UK baseball game. Great location, very clean. It definitely is a place for just two guests. Its like a high end dorm room. I would stay there again

Prime location if you want to explore downtown. Took me back to college dorm days with people screaming in the halls all night long. Very loud and hard to settle with all the noise.

That everything was great! A toaster, real bath mat and box of tissues would have made this place the best. Had to use broiler to make toast, rather susceptible to have items burn. Toaster would solve this.

Graduation weekend

We were in town for two nights to celebrate my daughter’s graduation. She received her College of nursing pin on Friday then University graduation ceremony on Saturday. Check-in was a breeze, parking was no problem at all, and the downtown location was fantastic. We walked to Carson‘s for dinner and to Rupp for the ceremony. Will certainly consider this property for future weekend stays during football season…

Perfect downtown stay!!

We were visiting our son who is a junior at the University of Lexington. The location was less than a mile from his apartment and located near so many restaurants. Easy to find and the check-in process was a breeze. The room was on the 6th floor which made it super quiet and it was so clean; felt brand new. The host stayed in contact with me and provided updates and instructions via text, was avaiable via text at anytime. Able to go out to dinner very easily and also had dinner in the place with our son and his girlfriend. Plenty of room to host people and play games. Would definitely book again and possibly book it for graduation weekend because of the location and how easy it was to walk around the downtown area and even walk to campus.
