About this property
King's Landing - Water View Home with heated pool, quiet area, centrally located
King's Landing is all about being treated like royalty. A master bedroom fit for a King, and second master fit for a Queen, and let's not forget about your princes and princesses. You would never need to leave. The home is well stocked and equipped for whatever you're planning to do on vacation. The lower level has a finish rec room complete with family games, TV, large sectional, home gym and wine fridge (for keeping the dinner wine at exactly the right temperature). The furnishings are solid and new throughout. The Main living area is being painted and redecorated. So, it will be even better than pictured!
The exterior is complete with heated above ground pool, screened in room, custom made furniture, fire table, pool loungers, pool slide for the littles, BBQ and more. There is also a sandbox and small playset for the children when they are taking a break from all that swimming. A new firepit area was created in fall of 2022. There are ample deck chairs and seating options for everyone. The pool and back deck is locked at every gate and also offers a blocked off area to keep the small children from the pool. There are outdoor games, beach toys and bag chairs to take with you on your travels. The exterior photos were taken last fall, on a rainy day. I will be updating those one the warm weather hits again! The private, paved subdivision is quiet and very scenic for those morning walks, or simply take in the views from the front deck while having your morning coffee. This is our home, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
We are located a short drive to Cavendish and all of the major attractions are within (5-15 minutes). There are many great restaurants and golf courses nearby. The private subdivision does have a common space to access the Trout River. The trout river is great for boating, kayaking, swimming, etc. It leads to New London Bay and then the Ocean. You can drive or walk to the water access point. This is a river and not a full sandy beach.
The property can be rented for 6 nights (Sunday to Saturday), 7 nights (Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday) or 8 nights (Saturday to Sunday), depending on availability.
We're back!! King's Landing was a vacation rental in previous years. But, we took a break from renting when we had our twins (now 5 years old). During the past 5 years we have made many changes, including the addition of a heated pool!! King's Landing is located in the subdivision called "Granville on the Water"

About the host
Hosted by Alisha

The MacKay's have lived at this property since 2011. We are born Islanders and both raised in small fishing communities. We have 3 children and have decided to try out seasonal camping at a nearby campground.
Why they chose this property
We wouldn't trade this property for anything! It is centrally located exactly halfway between Charlottetown and Summerside (about 20-30 minutes). We are very close to Stanley Bridge, Cavendish and everything the North Shore has to offer (5-15 minutes). The sun rises in the front of the house and sets in the back. So, we are lucky enough to enjoy the beauty of both. We also own the vacant lot next door and it can be used for more yard space. There is a common area available for games, and also a common area by the waterfront. You can bring your own kayaks or paddleboards and drive to the water's edge if you wish.
What makes this property unique
The sun really beats down on the back deck. So, for the sun seekers, it's a great place to enjoy the sun. The screen room offers shade as well for those that don't like the heat as much. The sun does a good job of heating the pool but there is also a heater on the pool. This private subdivision is paved and quiet.
