The pros: Spotless, bright, spacious, and well appointed. Tons of beach chairs, toys, boogie boards, etc. Don’t need to bring them. House had tons of DVDs (old school, but fun): phenomenal selection and alphabetized by genre (respect!). Kitchen had most of the things you need — I don’t think there was a blender or food processor. They should state that the living room and kitchen are on the top floor and, to get to that level, you need to be able to get up a very narrow set of spiraling stairs. This is not a good property for old dogs or elderly people with stability issues. Our dog fell many times. If you have toddlers, you definitely need to watch those stairs. The not so good: The entire place is badly outdated aesthetically and sometimes physically. The beds were horrible —saggy and springy. Had to sleep on the floor and we asked for mattress foam (they kindly got toppers for two of the beds). Dining room table set needs to be thrown out. Rickety, broken, faded and somehow, when you sit, it feels like your face is barely above the table. TV is TINY. And I’m not a crazy TV person. Way too small for the size of the room. It is like a computer monitor. They need to replace it with a much larger one that fits the scale of the room. The living room furniture is uncomfortable. It’s very hard and not the type of furniture where you can easily recline or get cozy. It also would be nice if they got a gas grill so people could still grill if it rains.
