About this property

The Lookout is a great place to have a family get together or to come have fun with friends, sleeping up to 12 guest. With Lake Barkley in your backyard you can enjoy beautiful views from the back deck, the hot tub, or just about any room in the house. Lake access is down the road. This home is in a prime location for duck hunters, located directly across from Duck pond which is part of Duck Island. Picture of location is added to property pictures.

Very nice and very quiet

Really nice house. The kitchen has a huge island to gather around prepping meals and talking with friends. It seems like every room has a massive TV and there are plenty of places to tuck in. The beds are very comfortable and it was nice for 4 guys to each have their own bed! We spend our evenings out by the fire pit sipping on bourbon and using the hot tub. Would highly recommend for a guys weekend or family getaway!

Great house and lots of room!

We used this house for a family gathering. Lots of room for everyone to spread out. Great view of the lake and it was so quiet! Only the sounds of nature. We saw lots of wildlife including a huge flock of swans, a family of turkeys, a bobcat, long-tail deer and ducks galore! The kids had great fun exploring the woods next to the house. We did find a way down to the lake and did some exploring on the lakeshore to find lots of rocks and shells. Highly recommended location for those that like peace and quiet and spending time with family and friends.

Lake Barkley Retreat

Wonderful trip and location for relaxation and outdoor activities. The house could have used a better cleaning and attention to detail. It was the little things that could and should have been improved like making sure the burnt out light bulbs are replaced. The outside of the house (deck, front porch, bottom porch) could have been cleaner and ready for quests and the inside of the house should have been cleaner. Overall we liked it but had to straighten the house up right off the bat.

Great Stay!

We LOVED this house. All the bedrooms were nice and the view of the lake was amazing. Our kids loved the basement: pool table and theater room. We did wish there was better access to the lake. We knew there wasn't a dock or a way to get into the water, however, we did hope we would be able to fish from the bank- but the bank was too steep. The owners were very responsive and took care of a problem caused by the previous renters. They were great to work with.
