The apartment is located on California Avenue, right by the Caltrain station. This avenue is often referred to as "Palo Alto's second downtown." It's highly walkable, and has restaurants, coffee shops, a grocery store, a hardware store, a Fedex, and other amenities. There's a Stanford shuttle stop too.

Getting Around:
If you're going to San Francisco, Caltrain is quite convenient. For travel within the Peninsula, the public transit system is ok, but not great. El Camino Real is nearby and there are bus lines there. But please don't expect the convenient public transit of a larger city like New York or Washington DC! If you don't have a car, you may need to rely on Uber or Lyft. If you're affiliated with Stanford, that's an easy bike ride.
