Enjoyed having to disconnect from distractions of TV, noise, etc. At first it felt to quite, but after shopping all day we worked on a puzzle, did some reading and had dinner across the street for dinner. Much needed disconnection from every day life. Gas lamps were interesting.
I was impressed with the cleanliness and room layout but very disappointed in the " country " setting. Our house was surrounded my big trucks and industry with a very loud road from 5 a.m. till mid day. Lots of motorized vehicles. Hard to sleep. No air ventilation in the bedrooms since the windows are painted and caulked shut. It got hot. Our property manager was kind once we got ahold of her which started out rough. She couldn't be reached but apologized and left us a nice gift of bread and jam for our anniversay. I loved the bathroom towels and deep tub. Good for soaking after a lot of walking at the flea market! I just wish it was more off the beaten path as it is advertised.
Loved hearing the horses clip clops at night with open windows.
After we were trained how to light the oil lights we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were 8 of us and we were comfortable. The out of town stay was so relaxing. Loved this little place.
