Really nice environment. Close to the sea and many other nice places such as art gallery, Buck Bay Shellfish Farm etc. The house is nice and clean, we really enjoyed apple TV. :) Hose is kind and easy to talk to. We really enjoyed the stay.
We had a fantastic 4 days in Olga. Lots of trees in blossom so Olga was really beautiful and we enjoyed walking down onto the dock and looking out to sea. The house was terrific and a great place to come back to after our days out walking etc around the island. House was very well equipped, clean, comfortable and really rather gorgeous! Hosts were very helpful and always answered promptly.
We have stayed there numerous times and will continue to for as long as we visit the island!! Great place to get away and just relax. If you’re looking to stay on Orcas this is the place!!
This was our first trip to the San Juans and we chose a fantastic house for our stay! The Olga House was cozy, clean, and comfortable. It was a great space for our family of four and the location was perfect for exploring the two nearby state parks, Moran and Obstruction Pass, and beyond. The kitchen was well-stocked, the beds were fluffy, and we enjoyed watching movies via streaming services in the loft each night. I appreciated the clear communications with Paul and think he and Leslee have done a great job with their rental. We would definitely stay here again if we have another opportunity to visit Orcas.
The Olga House is well and accurately described in the description. We enjoyed the peace of Olga and the comforts of the house, including the large kitchen, comfortable bed & bath. I used the loft for writing while my husband used the 2nd b'room for practicing the violin. We missed the Olga store from our past and hope its reincarnation goes smoothly. We were lucky in our whale watch expedition: 2 pods as well as eagles, sea lions, Bonaparte gulls and other wonders. With Moran so close it was easy to get to short trails as well as Mt. Lake. We'll love to return.
We loved everything about the Olga house and Orcas Island. The home had everything we needed and was excellently located for everything we wanted to do. A slight glitch in the check in as the key access codes were different in the VRBO listing than from the VRBO property owner’s message. We will definitely return next time we need a quiet, comfortable, spacious place on Orcas Island. Thanks Paul for being so quick to respond to my questions before our arrival!
We had a fantastic experience at this property. Clean, efficient 2 bdrm house with bonus loft area. Big yard great for kids to run and play. Big deck with BBQ for hosting. 1 minute walk to the water. Overall fantastic island option.
Nice house in hamlet of Olga. Perfect size, great location, and relaxing. Peek a view of bay. Friendly locals, interesting self guided historical walking tour of town (found in drawer). Nice nature hike at Coho Preserve within a block of Olga.
We stayed for 5 nights. The house is comfortable, clean and stocked with all the little things you need but usually need to purchase after checking-in. The owners were very responsive when we had questions. The house is 16 miles from the ferry in Olga. The house has been updated with high quality finishes. Buck Bay Shellfish Farm is one of the most popular restaurants on the island and is about a 10 minute walk from the house. Moran State Park is also very close to the house. The house is only about 100 yards from the water and a very long pier. Olga is a remote part of the island but the largest town on the island with restaurants and stores is about 6 miles away. We highly recommend this house and would stay again if on the Island.
Everything was wonderful. Most beautiful location, steps from the water, on a really quiet street. Home was perfect for our family of 5, super clean and cozy, really comfortable beds (even the blow up mattress was really comfortable). Highly recommend.
We loved the Olga house! It is super clean, full of natural light, simply decorated, and stocked with all the essentials which makes for a truly restful little slice of heaven! We truly unwound which we needed. I love to cook and the kitchen was stocked with all the basics and everything I needed. But what made it over the top was Paul & Leslee... they are fantastic communicators and wonderful hosts. They take great care of the property. To date we have stayed in 5
different places in San Juan Islands, and the Olga house is far and away our favorite! Thanks Paul & Leslee for sharing your kindness and your lovely home.
We found Olga House to be a very comfortable retreat from the insanity of 2020. The space felt like an actual home (not one of those bare bones rental units). The kitchen was well-equipped (very helpful since we were eating at the house each day for breakfast and dinner). Having two bathrooms was also a plus. The HUGE bathtub in the main bath was perfect for soaking away our aches after a particularly strenuous hike in Moran State Park, which was just a short drive away. The numerous windows let in lots of natural light ~ especially on the last day of our stay when the weather turned blustery and rainy. Additionally, the loft area offered a great place to watch Netflix at the end of each day.
Thank you Paul and Leslee for sharing your lovely getaway!
We stayed at this charming home over Labor Day to attend a family wedding at Doe Bay. It was convenient and private and the 4 of us were very comfortable. It’s well equipped in every way, with helpful instructions and numerous amenities. We will happily return.
