About the host
Hosted by Tami-Joe Stringer
We are Mitch and Tami-Joe and we are happy your search brought you here. Mitch is from Montana and spent most of his life there. I was born in Oregon but have lived in myriad places as my Dad worked for Lockeed when I was young and then I spent 21 years in the Navy and moved every 3-5 years until I got to this house where I spent 26 years. Mitch is a mountain boy, he worked as a logger all over Montana until the logging industry was derailed. He moved to the midwest for work as a Construction Estimator specializing in Disaster Relief. Offutt AFB was my last duty station before I retired and then I worked at the U.S. Strategic Command until 2022 when we moved to Clarkston where my husband found a job. Bellevue is where I raised my 4 children and where I thought I would live for the rest of my life. Mitch and I were 51 when we met after failed marriages made us believe we were destined to live alone. We have 10 children between us that are all grown. I never thought I would leave Nebraska but life has been better than I every imagined since I met my husband and now we are living our dream, surrounded by mountains and rivers where we fish and hunt and love seeing the beauty of nature.
Why they chose this property
When I moved to Nebraska in 1996, I wanted an established neighborhood, I wanted trees to shade me in the summer, I wanted big rooms that my children could be comfortable in and a kitchen that would allow me to cook anything, as well as have my children in there helping. I wanted a dining room that we could eat in comfortably and enough bedroom space that my 4 children would not be piled on top of each other. This house was the perfect fit and I love the fact that we are on a Cul de Sac that seems isolated but has easy access to all the main highways. I have great neighbors as well. If you love history - Bellevue was the first city in Nebraska and there are buildings in the downtown area that were established when it was settled.
What makes this property unique
I have a great love for the CWS and the players, families and fans. I spent 8 wonderful years working security for the Arena and I was there for the first game ever played in the Stadium. I was also a tour guide for the Ballpark. This home is uniquely situated to provide a quiet and comfortable place for you to stay and have restaurants, a gym, a grocery store, a home improvement store and gas stations within walking distance. You also have easy access to HWY 75 and a 15 minute drive to the Ballpark, the Old Market and the Zoo. There is a kids park 4 block away as well as a basket ball hoop in the front of the house. Offutt AFB is 10 minutes to the south. There is a hospital 3 minutes away as well. Additionally, I-80 and I-29 are within 10 minutes. We spent 4 years fixing each and every room. You will find that each room has its own character and is comfortable and inviting. The kitchen is my favorite space next to the Jet Tub. I love to cook and if you do you will love it too with the 96" butcher block island.
