The house was clean and kitchen had good equipment, though I did not use much of them. It is a simple residence and staff/owners accommodates with accessories like towels if you ask.
I took advantage of the touring assistance, which was handled, working through travel time extensions due to more recent typhoons that hit the area late in the season.

About the host
Hosted by Maya
As your host, I hope to share not only our traditions but also the stories and values that make Ifugao culture so special. By the end of our time together, my wish is that you leave not as strangers, but as friends who have experienced the warmth, hospitality, and living heritage of Banaue.
Why they chose this property
We recognize a guest's desire for privacy as this is something we, as travelers, likewise value. In addition, our location is close to the town center and public transit, making it simple for visitors to get around.
What makes this property unique
I invite you to experience Ifugao culture not as a visitor, but as a friend welcomed into our family. Together, we will step inside our family's more than 100-year-old native house, where stories of our ancestors still live on. You will learn about our customs and take part in activities that have sustained our people for centuries.
You will witness and experience traditional rice processing, from removing the grains from the stalks to pounding the rice by hand, just as our ancestors did. We will also share our native dances, and I will personally help you wear our traditional attire so that you can fully immerse yourself in the beauty of Ifugao culture.
No gathering in Ifugao is complete without food and fellowship. During our experience, you will enjoy a traditional meal featuring native chicken prepared in the age-old method we call Inlagim. To celebrate our time together, you will also have the opportunity to taste our locally made rice wine, which has long been shared during special occasions and community gatherings.
You not need to travel to remote places to experience and witness these opportunity, in just a few steps, you'll be able to immerse yourselves in what we can offer.
