Downstairs, you will find a common area with sofa twin bed, bar chairs to hang out, play board games, and watch on a 55-inch HD television with smart apps. The washer and dryer are located in the downstairs area if needed.
Please note that the property outdoors has actively recording cameras that overlook the front porch, patio, and driveway. They record audio and video. Additionally, there is a smart home monitor on the patio that actively measures noise decibel levels. However, it does not record audio or video.
Guests will have the whole house to themselves. Please note that there are doors to closets and the attic that are locked as we store items for the house.

This is a great locations with an attentive host. We visited Chicago for a family reunion in Oakbrook and this location worked out perfectly for us. It is near several main highways, and close to the airport. There is significant construction just east of the house, but that can not last forever. The furniture in the bedrooms is a bit dated but clean and comfortable bed. We would stay here again.
Really enjoyed our weekend. The house is in a quiet neighborhood that is in a great location. Check in/out was very easy and Mark was was very responsive to any questions that we had. I would recommend staying here.
This is the second time we have stayed. Great location for an our visits w family in all the suburbs and to get downtown. Owners super responsive and plenty of room for a family of 4. We also love the “back yard.
Overall it was a nice property. We enjoyed our stay and it was a great location with lots of amenities close by. Didn’t realize there were some steep stairs at the entrance as we had my older parents with us but they did good.
The house was perfect for our family who were visiting my daughter and her husband for Christmas. The house was spotless, well stocked with everything we needed, beds were super comfy and the owners were incredible! They were so communicative and so easy to work with when we almost had to cancel due to illness! We will definitely stay here again!!
Hosts were very accommodating for our needs and provided a lot of fun things to do in their house. They had toys for our 1 y/o plus provided a high chair and pack n play. We had a great coffee bar and comfortable beds. Ideal location with access to highways and downtown Elmhurst.
Pleasant and convenient older house. The location offers convenient access to I-290, I-294, and IL-83 as well as the city of Elmhurst. The access road, Emroy, is protected by a light (getting onto or across North Ave. is not a small deal). The house itself had way more beds than we needed and would be a good fit for a larger family. The kitchen was much better stocked than our usual experience. The beds and furniture were quite comfortable. We had a good experience here and would recommend it.
We had a nice time and the house was more than sufficient for a family of 5. Things were a bit hard to find in the kitchen—not entirely organized and neat, but it was still manageable. Thanks! If we do this again, we’d stay here!
we absolutely loved our stay at this property, well stocked, clean and had plenty of space. water pressure and temperature was A1. fabulous. peaceful spot and neighborhood.
We were in Elmhurst for work and to visit our grandkids. This home and location was perfect. Very clean and comfortable. The house had the personal touch and all the supplies we needed.
Great local city center and dining.
Tracy and Mark were fantastic hosts!
Home worked out fine for the 5 of us and our girls weekend. Decor upstairs was cute. Entry and instructions were easy. Home is older and smaller than expected with an old home smell. Beds were clean and comfortable. Not a fan of the wooden steep stairs, but we did fine with them. Older people would need assistance on them. Neighborhood was cute and safe. Loved elmhurst and the adorable downtown city center. Great restaurants and fun trolley to ride. Free parking in town was a nice surprise also. Very convenient to ohare and other malls for shopping like Yorktown and Oakbrook. Fair price for an older home.
Older home in established neighborhood. Home has seen some wear and tear and bathroom is tight quarters but beds are comfortable and bedrooms are spacious. Nice outdoor space and well lit. Had a slight delay as code wouldn't work when we initially arrived (well after 3 p.m. check-in time). Once owners realized I was communicating, the fix was quick but I called multple times, texted and messaged in the app and it took a few minutes for a response.

Disappointed by the Lack of Cleanliness and Transparency
We stayed 7/2–7/6 and were very disappointed. Upon arrival, the entry code was incorrect; we waited outside, called and messaged the owner, who eventually responded and resolved it. The home is older (which we expected), but cleanliness and safety were major issues. The stairs into the kitchen were extremely steep and lacked a real railing, just two small handles. There was hair throughout the bathroom, on towels, the floor, and even in the freezer. The shower curtain was filthy, liner was moldy, and the upstairs toilet was leaking before we even used it. We had to put towels around the base. Black bugs crawled out of the bathroom drain and shower grout. There was mold on the ceiling in the king bedroom and the queen room’s ceiling looked ready to collapse. The basement was cold, unfinished, and the downstairs shower was unusable, shower liners hung so low they were a slip hazard. The laundry room was messy with unidentifiable laundry and trash left behind. This home is not suitable for small kids or older adults due to safety concerns. There were a few games, but nothing clearly kid-friendly.The only positives: location, comfortable beds, A/C, and good water pressure. Owner was kind, but the listing was not transparent. The home needs serious updates and better cleaning before it’s worth the price.

About the host
Hosted by Mark Cuevo
Born & raised in the western suburbs of Chicago. I'm an avid sports fan (Go Bears & Bulls!) and a foodie and love trying new places with my wife and 2 toddlers.
Why they chose this property
The ranch is our starter home. We enjoyed the town so much, we moved to a larger home once our family expanded in Elmhurst. There's plenty to do from City Centre, parks & museums, and lots of places to eat. Also close to highways to get to the city or O'Hare & Midway airports.
What makes this property unique
This property is located outside the city, but is still easily accessible by car or train (Metra stop is a couple of minutes drive from the house). You will have the entire house to yourself and enjoy some distance from neighbors. The patio area is exclusively yours, where you can grill and relax.
