Stay in a 70s time-capsule in the heart of Big Sky, Montana with views of Lone Peak! Innsbruck is best for those looking for an immersion into local mountain life. With trails right out the door and at the foot of Big Sky Resort, this cozy studio couldn't be in a better location. The complex is shared with locals who ride bikes, run, hike, and ski on the trails you are going to want to be on! Basecamp here for your Big Sky / Yellowstone adventure.
Innsbruck's gold flaked mirror walls, funky wallpaper and immaculate 1970s appliances and furnishings are an experience. The right touch of upgraded amenities provides comfort, including a new queen mattress installed this spring. Stretch it out on the provided foam roller/massage ball next to the grotto fireplace.
Innsbruck Place 1974 is a cozy studio and a perfect retreat for couples, friends, and families who are comfortable with a more intimate setting. Sip on coffee while you scope out lone peak from the window or stay in and read a book next to the fireplace!
Innsbruck is more suited for a couple but there is a memory foam full-sized mattress in the pull-out couch for pairs who prefer to sleep separately. There is good water pressure and the water is hot but as a studio, there are limited amounts of it. Keeping showers short will help conserve the hot water and staggering showers every 30 minutes will provide for the best experience.
Guests have all access.
As cell service in Montana can sometimes be spotty, we encourage guests to use the Airbnb messaging platform for all non-emergency inquiries as we have multiple people monitoring the portal who typically respond within minutes. We are available via phone for situations requiring immediate attention.
What is really great about this neighborhood is the immersion you will experience. Unlike a lot of the neighborhoods of Big Sky which don't have much for local life and are primarily second-homes. The hill condos house many locals who actually work and live here. You will brush shoulders with them and don't be afraid to say hello or ask what it is like to live in this beautiful little mountain town in the shadows of Lone Peak!
There is one word to describe getting around this place: convenience. The best part about staying in this part of Big Sky is that once you arrive you never have to leave. Eat, Ski, Sleep, Repeat! Buy groceries to make a few family meals or walk to the mountain village and order local cuisine. The free bus system of Big Sky "Skyline" has a bus stop right outside of the complex and it can take you to the meadow village town center of Big Sky.
Enjoy this place! There is a creek/forest out the backdoor which is a common home for Moose (Best seen out-back at just before dusk!!). Take the walking trail to the shores of Lake Levinsky.
