Our guest capacity and additional guest fees are clearly outlined in our listing and house rules, which all guests agree to upon booking. When we discovered an undisclosed guest during the stay, we simply requested payment per our established policy. We believe it's important to treat all guests fairly by consistently applying the same rules and pricing. We appreciate guests who communicate openly about their party size during the booking process, as this helps us prepare appropriately and ensures accurate pricing from the start. We remain committed to providing excellent accommodations while maintaining clear, fair policies for all our guests. We're disappointed that enforcing our clearly stated guest policies resulted in a low rating for our property. Our additional guest fees are outlined in our house rules before booking to ensure transparency and fairness. When extra guests stay without prior arrangement, we do charge the posted fee as stated in our policies. We believe our home's quality and amenities deserve an accurate rating based on the actual accommodation, not on disagreements about following established booking terms. I am writing this review to warn other potential hosts about this guest. This guest brought an animal into my rental property, violating our house rules. When confronted about it, she lied about her emotional support animal, claiming that it was a service animal when it was not. We have since learned that this was a false claim. She booked our property, which has a strict "no pets" policy. She further claimed her dog was hypoallergenic. I explained to the guest that my property was not pet-friendly and that I had a severe dog allergy. The guest insisted that her dog was hypoallergenic and that it would not cause any problems. As it turned out, my concerns were well-founded. The dog's hair and dander were all over the property, and my allergies were horrible. This guest also lied about being solicited for drugs in order to get a refund for her stay. She further claimed that someone tried to sell her drugs when she exited her vehicle. This is also a completely false statement. We have never had any problems with drug use or drug dealing in our neighborhood. The guest's claim is simply a fabrication. This guest also lied about the safety of our neighborhood in order to get a refund for her stay. She claimed our neighborhood was unsafe because we had security doors and an alarm system. This is a completely false statement. My neighborhood is perfectly safe, and I have never had any problems with crime. The security door and alarm systems are simply a precaution to protect our property and guests. In addition, she told us her kids were scared to get out of the vehicle. This was also an untruth. Her kids were excited, and her son wanted to use our carnival-themed appliances. She was unhappy about this and proceeded to curse at him and tell him he "better not touch nothing because she is not paying for anything that gets destroyed." She forgot we had security cameras around the perimeter of the house. So, everything she claimed that happened, from the drug solicitation and the children being afraid to get out of the vehicle and not going into the home, was all a fabrication. We could clearly see via our security cameras that they all got out of the vehicle, including the dog. She never spoke to a neighbor, nor did anyone approach her to solicit anything. We are very disappointed with her dishonest behavior, which was disrespectful and inconsiderate. We would definitely not recommend this guest to anyone!
