Enjoy your vacation in this waterfront home offering expansive views of Casco Bay and the open ocean beyond. Lounge on the wrap-around deck or venture to the shore and dip your feet in the gentle surf or comb the shore for treasures. Moorings is just a short walk from Dolphin's Marina and Restaurant and Erica's Seafood, so you don't even have to get in the car to find a fine dining experience or a mouth-watering seafood meal on the water's edge.

Inside the home, you will find a well-stocked kitchen and kitchen island with seating; and a comfy living room with a flat screen tv, a dining table that comfortably sits four, and large picture windows with stunning seaside views. On the first floor there is a combination study/bedroom and a full bathroom with a shower. Upstairs are two bedrooms including the primary bedroom with a queen bed and an attached full bathroom (shower/tub combo). The second bedroom offers two twin beds. There is an air conditioner in both upstairs bedrooms for added guest comfort!

Moorings is the prefect place to get away from it all and enjoy breathtaking views, watch the boats sailing in and out of the marina, and get a delectable taste of all that Maine's coast has to offer.

Dogs are welcome at Moorings (a non-refundable pet fee applies). More than one dog requires permission from host. If booking on VRBO click on "Travelers" box and check box by "I am traveling with pets."

The house is walking distance to both Erica’s and the Dolphin Inn, two of our favorite places, and a short ride to Pammy’s for ice cream. A beautiful place to watch sunrise and sunset. The only problem was the lumpy mattress on the double bed.

We spent three nights there with a party of five (parents, teen, grandparents) and never felt cramped. The house is lovely and very well appointed. I'd rate it as one of the best equipped kitchens we've had a chance to use when renting a property. When we had a question, the team at MaineStay was responsive, friendly, and helpful. We will likely stay there again should we have an opportunity to visit Harpswell in the future.

The home is spacious, comfortable, clean with views that can't be beat. We pretty much lived on the deck and enjoyed coffee in the mornings, and a refreshing drink in the evenings. Its great to be within walking distance of both Erica's Seafood and The Dolphin Marina (we enjoyed both places). We will definitely be returning here again.

Great stay at the Moorings

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Wonderful view, comfortable house, and walking distance to two restaurants. Marcy, Darcie & Carly went out of their way to prepare the house for us and let us know that it was ready earlier than the 4pm check-in. Their were gates available to isolate the deck so our dog could enjoy the deck without our worrying about him running off. There is also a portion of the yard fenced off for him to play in also. Someone mentioned that the stairs to the beach was missing, but it was there on our trip. It could use an additional hand rail, but otherwise was fine. This house is definitely on our list for next year.

We had two of the best restaurants in the area within a stones throw of our front door but still very quiet and secluded. One word of caution, the stairs to the beach are no more and the Adirondack chairs pictured are not there. A bonus was the use of a one car garage with the perfect place to charge your car if necessary. The property is immaculate and our fur baby had the time of her life rolling in the grass.

Reviewer Comments: We love this home for the location, being close to great eats and fresh lobsters + the beach (though there's a lot more rocks/seaweed and less sand with recent storms!). Having a garage is great for bikes. Washer/dryer in great shape and LOVE the new(er) water bubbler with fresh cold and hot water (saves a lot on having to buy large containers every few days). Kitchen is well stocked (see below for exceptions). Notes: The bedroom on the first floor is very small! Don't expect to fit more than a single person in that room. I am from the area so it's not a big deal for me to have to drive 25 mins for a grocery store but others may not love this -- the two tiny stores on this side of the island have limited inventory! Suggestions: A Swiffer or dustpan/broom OR a functioning vac would be a great addition to this home, especially for longer stays. There was a counter block that could be used as a cutting board but I couldn't find any easy to move cutting boards.

Where the ducks come to you

This property was outstanding - clean, spacious, thoughtfully appointed, with spectacular views. Walking distance to a couple of local eateries and lovely hiking along the coast. Very comfortable beds and pleasantly surprised to see window air conditioning units installed and operating on the 2nd floor during our trip over the first weekend of September. Even when it rained, it was delightful to watch the local ducks from the living room windows. Highly recommend.

Quintessential Maine coast charm

Terrific house, located right on the bay. Across the yard is Erica's Seafood Shack, serving the best lobster rolls in the area. Far enough away that you don't see/hear it when you're enjoying the tranquility of the house and the bay... but anytime you're hungry for a superb lunch, it's just a couple of minutes stroll. Walk another few minutes and you come to the Dolphin Marina Restaurant, which is also superb (with a wider variety menu). The house was in terrific condition. We loved the gourmet kitchen and the wraparound deck. Very dog friendly with some plastic fencing to secure the backyard to let the dog run around on his own. Many nights spent grilling dinner out on that deck, sipping wine, and enjoy a rejuvenating vacation. Can't beat the views over the bay in the morning and evening. There's some wood stairs down to the water's edge that's easy for walks along the shore or playing with the dog as the tide goes in and out.
