The house is spacious with nice accents. Very clean and the views of the glacier, Kachemak Bay, and the spit are absolutely breathtaking! There is a cute grouse family out front that are fun to watch.

Out in front we often have pheasants, which you certainly don't expect to see in Alaska :)
The house was amazing! It was in a great location, really clean, comfortable and lots of space! There was plenty of things stocked in the house for cooking and beaching! We loved being able to relax on the deck at night with the cozy fire and look at the amazing view! We would definitely recommend this place!

I'm glad you enjoyed some beautiful August weather!
We ended up extending our stay another day because we enjoyed the rental too much to leave. We loved the outside deck area and view of the ocean. There was extra bedding and towels which we greatly appreciated. We hope to book again in the future.

What a beautiful place. Clean, well stocked with everything you need. Everything is brand new. First place I stayed in Alaska where the WiFi was excellent. Loved the pillows and mattress. The view is spectacular. Highly recommended this place.

I'm glad you enjoyed our wifi, we're one of the rare ones where it's consistent!
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay while visiting Homer. This house was very clean, comfortable, had everything we needed, and was easy to check in. The owners checked on us to make sure we were enjoying our stay and that we had what we needed. The house is situated overlooking the bay and beautiful mountains. You can see the spit 5 miles away. It was so nice to see the amazing views from inside the house or sitting on the porch. We did not want to leave this awesome house!

I’m glad you didn’t want to leave, we never do when we’re there either! Our cleaners are the best!
We will be coming back again next time we are visiting our friends in Homer, for sure.
This place was great and SO clean. It had lots of open space and the neighboring units were a good distance away. The dogs were happy, we were happy, and we cooked lots of good food and watched stupid B movies during a windstorm. Everything we needed was there, including smoked paprika from Spain that a previous guest had left. The garage was a big plus. And the infloor heating was very pleasant. Thanks for providing a place for us and our dogs (that are NOT under 50 pounds and thus not allowed to stay very many places). We had a mixup with our checkout date and Luke & the housekeepers were VERY accomodating and easy to get ahold of.

I'm glad we were able to accommodate you Cortni, we welcome all pups and think most hosts 50# weight limit is silly at best.
Halibut cabin 1 is nicely appointed with a kitchen ready for cooking on that fish you just caught! Just a ten minute drive to the Spit made for handy options of outings, coffee and food. Enjoying a beverage on the deck looking at the glorious mountain views was very relaxing. We were happy we could bring our little Whippet who enjoyed exploring the long grass around us. The owners replied quickly when we needed blankets and some coffee filters which we appreciated. Beds honestly were not that comfy - felt like I was on a camping cot and as mentioned not enough blankets which I have pointed out to the owners. My other (small) gripe is that we were somewhat close to the road about 300 meters. So you could hear traffic noise if the window was open. But overall a pleasant stay and would recommend for families or a group of people.

Thank you for staying with us Deanna. We apologize for the blankets and coffee filters, I’m glad we were able to correct that for you in a timely fashion.
We also appreciate the feedback on the beds, everyone is a bit different on preference; we did go with a high quality option that our previous 60 guests have generally enjoyed. I’m glad you enjoyed the views!
Luke is a physical therapist at a small rural hospital; Miranda is an RN in the twin cities serving dialysis patients. Luke, Miranda, Niko, Georgia, Leni and golden retriever Lambeau make up their tribe and currently live in Northwest Wisconsin. Josh is a charter boat captain and Kim works at a local hospital in between running their two daughters Bristol and Delta around. Together these 4 went to high school together in Wisconsin but still find a way to connect in AK!
Why they chose this property
This property gave us the freedom to visit Alaska with friends and family while still having our own space. It gave us an opportunity to expand a new rental property business while giving others the chance to experience AK first hand.
What makes this property unique
We're just far enough from downtown Homer to get away from the business of summer, but close enough to be a short drive away with unforgettable views!
