About this property

This historic, waterfront Tybee home is located on the back river with a dock. This property is a rare find on the island as it is one of very few to boast a dock, breath taking views of the sunset, and a birds eye viewing deck with Adirondack chairs. Located steps from the back river beach or a short walk to the pier, shops, bars, and restaurants this property has everything you need for your family beach vacation. This property is a duplex meaning there are two units. This is the listing for the upstairs unit.
This unit is three bedrooms, two baths with a full kitchen and open concept living and dining area. There is a raised deck with views of the back river, sunsets, and dock with luxury Adirondack chairs for guests to enjoy.
There is a shared laundry room in the downstairs front porch to the right of the entrance. This space is shared with the downstairs guests. The upstairs patio is private to you.
The dock is also shared with guests staying downstairs. Please be mindful of the guests staying below you and honor quiet hours after 10pm.

The property is keyless entry. There is a keypad located on the door. You will be provided with check in instructions to include the code for the property the day prior to your arrival. There is free parking located in front of the property in the gravel driveway. However, parking through out the island off of the property is metered to the city of Tybee and is strictly enforced. Please be mindful not to block any cars in the driveway, as there may be other guests staying on the property in the other unit.

This property is located steps from the back river beach and a short walk to the south end beaches, surrounded by the island's main strip of bars, restaurants, ice cream shops, surf shops, and more!

Guests can choose to rent bikes from a local rental company or a golf cart. However, this is not necessary to get around given the property's walking accessible location. Lighthouse Vacation Rental guests can rent a golf cart from "Golf Cart Pros" and receive 10% off! Message your host for more details if this interests you and you will be provided with the discount code.

Quiet hours are between the hours of 10pm to 8am. Since this property is a duplex, we ask that you are mindful of guests staying below you. Short but beautiful stay

We found the property to be nice and clean. I wasn't a fan of the location of the washing machine, but thankfully there were no guest in the other unit to disturb. The sunsets were incredible and we saw several dolphins during our stay. The host checked in with us during our stay and was responsive if we needed anything. Tybee is slower than expected but it is off-season.

Miss information

The listing never stated that it was a duplex and we was rent the upstairs only. Never the less we found the place clean and inviting. The power was out on half of the unit and had to contact the property manager to sort it out they did within a few hours. In the master bedroom the ceiling fan light kit was missing and wires was hanging down. The laundry room was located on the lower level but no inform as to that fact. Reached out to the property manager asking if this was correct so we did not disturb the guests in the lower unit NEVER heard back from them but the gust in the lower unit agreed that we could use it.
