About the host
Your host
We are a family of realtors in Southern Maryland, and live & work in the small town of North Beach, just minutes from our vacation rental home. We purchased the home in 2017 and completely remodeled it as a vacation rental. We have lived in the area for thirty years, have lots of family here and always loved living in this part of Maryland.
Why they chose this property
This home was one of the town's original 1920's single-story homes. It is believed to have been an overnight boarding house that would allow travelers an overnight place to stay. The kitchen was later added, and a second story added in the 1980's. Today as an Airbnb, it is serving a purpose similar to the home's original roots. The quaint, historic town of North Beach, MD sits on the Chesapeake Bay, and is nestled between two wedding/event venues--Herrington on the Bay & The Rod 'N Reel Resort & Spa. You can walk to local restaurants, quaint shops, a boardwalk, small beach and a water park. You can drive just 30 miles to see all the sites and museums in Washington, DC, visit downtown Annapolis, or the National Harbor.Whether you're in town for a little rest & relaxation, or for an event, we hope you get a chance to enjoy some of our local amenities. Take the time to walk or jog along the boardwalk or sit and watch shore birds along the Chesapeake Bay. You'll see cargo ships heading to or from Baltimore, boats of all kinds, and an occasional cruise ship. Take a stroll to one of our local restaurants or pubs--- without having to drive home. The town beach is small, and fills up quickly during the summertime. There is a daily fee for beach access, but only from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day. There's a senior center and a playground too!
What makes this property unique
House has been remodeled with all bathrooms having ceramic tiled showers and one with a tub and ceramic tiled floors. Main level has real hardwood floors and the kitchen has custom granite countertops with all stainless steel appliances. Home is located on a double town lot, so there is plenty of parking. The house's main level has a bedroom (with queen bed), full bath, open living room, dining area, and kitchen with lots of counter space. Upper level has two large bedrooms and two full baths. The master bedroom upstairs has a King size bed and a futon. The other upstairs bedroom has two queen beds. You'll love the patio out back or the large porch to sit and enjoy coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine in the evening.
