About the host
Hosted by Karin & Patrick Feiner
In 2020 we, Karin & Patrick, fell in love with the Dordogne during a holiday in France. When we returned to the Netherlands, we quickly decided to sell our house on Kaag Island and move permanently to Jumilhac-le-Grand and the surrounding area!
Since the summer of 2022 we have been sitting in our place in the old farmhouse from 1834 on La Jarousse & we refer to our yard as 'Ma joie de vivre'. A pun on Karin's surname 'Majoie', which means 'my joy'. In this way, 'Ma Joie de vivre' becomes a place where we can share our joie de vivre with others.
We lived in our nice, cozy gîte for four months during the renovation of our own house. We enjoyed the sun on the terrace under the large chestnut tree and all the tranquility that this environment brings. Later we also warmed up in front of the fireplace by the stove in the fall.
Our two West Siberian Laikas also feel completely at home now that they can run around in our large fenced pasture. We hope that our guests will enjoy the gîte just as much!
We welcome you with open arms to our new home. Dogs are very welcome.
Healthy regards,
Karin & Patrick
