Modern, cozy, and family-friendly cottage located in the heart of the heavily-wooded Texas Hill Country and only a few blocks from the sparkling waters of Canyon Lake—bring your watercraft! (plenty of room to park your boat on driveway). Sit back and relax in the peaceful, private backyard shaded by beautiful escarpment live oak trees. Cook something delicious in our premium charcoal grill. Have fun playing ping pong while you see the deer roam!

Only a short drive from two marinas (6 or 15-min drive; marinas offer boat, kayak, and jet ski rentals), public lakeside parks with great amenities (kayak rentals, sports fields, picnic, grills, swimming, fishing piers/platforms, hiking trails), the Guadalupe River (tubing, kayaking, hiking trails, fishing; 15 to 20-min), Schlitterbahn water park and historic Gruene (25-min drive to New Braunfels), and more, the Oakhill Cottage offers endless opportunities for relaxation and fun!!! This cute, quiet yet centrally-located retreat is also close to San Antonio (45-minute drive), Wimberley (40-min), San Marcos downtown and outlet shopping malls (40-min, Blanco State Park and brewery (40-min) and downtown Austin (1:15-min drive). We recommend taking the Devil's Backbone scenic route between Wimberley and Blanco. There are several wineries en route to Fredericksburg (40-min).

Large, fully equipped kitchen with coffee station. Washer & dryer. Ping pong table. Fast wifi internet and desk in the master bedroom. High chair and pack & play for infants provided. Linens, bath towels, and toiletries are provided (bring your own beach/river towels).

For the safety of our guests and our home, we have two OUTDOOR security cameras (one is located on the entry porch and the other by the garage door). Both cameras point toward the front yard and are incapable of recording anything in private spaces

Was a fun vacation, homeowners will supervise the place via cameras during stay which is a bit different from others I’ve stayed at and was made aware that neighbors will also watch the home as well. Other than that, clean and comfortable home.

Great place!

It was a very lovely house! Plenty of room for everyone, and the kids enjoyed the bunk bed room and the variety of games. Kitchen is stocked with plenty of stuff. House is very clean. Loved seeing all the deer wondering around the neighborhood. Host is very quick to respond. Would definitely recommend!

Nice house

Nice house, seemed like a recent build. Everything was very accommodating. The only thing I would suggest is having them provide bug spray we noticed they had ants in the dining area floor. The owners are strick on the number of people that stay the night (even for kids). We have been to plenty of houses where it's not a big deal for kids to stay the night between family vacation homes. Be ready to pay additional fees per person per night if you have extra guests coming over. If you have a boat or jetskis be ready to wait an hour to unload since alot or ramps we're closed including the one closest to this house. Property manager was quick to responding when we had questions.
