Serendipity features original Antique stained glass, crystal knob door handles, craftsman beach style building & decor, a gas Fireplace for those stormy coastal days, a King bed, 2 Queen beds & specialty local coffee awaits! Flowers, local plants, birds abode the gardens around the property.
Dedicated office space with 1GB WIFI speeds.

Just a block from North Jetty Brewery & a few blocks from Beach Entrance. Pet Friendly.

Serendipity, part of the Enchanted Cottages by the Sea, has a long history of being the place to stay. It was originally built to accommodate the Locomotive conductors of the railroads that arrived in 1881. Seaview was founded as a vacation destination & not much has changed with its long sandy beaches, surrounding lighthouses, fishing, clamming, we have it all.

King bed in Master bedroom, Queen bed in 2nd bedroom and a new Queen sofa sleeper couch is ready to host 6 guests. More with prior approval. 1.5 Baths & a well stocked kitchen is ready for your family.

Outdoor common area includes the outdoor propane fireplace, covered seating under the gazebo, play a game of cornhole, a bean bag toss game, and sit next to our outdoor firepit (seasonal). Other outdoor tables and chairs with sun umbrellas are also available.

Less than 1 block from North Jetty Brewery, fantastic locally brewed beer & a favorite stop after a day of playing outside. Family friendly till 6pm.
Centrally located in the heart of the peninsula you are 0.6 miles to the Beach entrance (7 blocks), only a 11 minute walk or drive your vehicle on the beach. South of the entrance are tide pools. Visit Cape Disappointment State Park & 3.5 miles to North Head Lighthouse.

In Seaview, you are within walking distance to the Beach and the 12-mile Discovery Trail, plus great restaurants and unique villages up and down the 27-mile long Peninsula.

Warm Home in the Storms

My adult daughter, her dog & I stayed the Serendipity Cottage for four nights the last part of February. It was perfect - comfortable, clean, well-supplied, spacious, warm, charming and with easy walking access into the cottage and other locations (restaurant & grocery store). Even though it is by the main road to Long Beach, we rarely heard any traffic noise and it was in a quiet neighborhood. We will definitely come back!

King Tides getaway

We stayed at the Serendipity Cottage for the king tides (which weren't very king-like) and LOVED our stay in the cottage. It is adorable, comfortable and very well supplied! The hosts were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. If we head back to that area, I plan to stay here again! We loved it!!

Comfortable, Charming Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at this charming cottage. We loved the decor, cute kitchen with lots of dishes, and spending time in the sitting area. The sofa and chairs were very comfortable. Although near the road, it was fairly quiet. There is a view of a pretty garden between the front entry and the road. It was a short walk to a restaurant for breakfast, and to another popular restaurant for dinner.

We are just a small family business trying our best to make a go at a new career. Not only do we manage and run our handful of vacation rentals, we also work full time. Life is busy but we have a goal of working from home so we can be home with our children.

Why they chose this property

We love the area, how can you not love the beach? Plus this property has such a rich and long history. The house is 141 years old! That is just amazing! With the house and 3 other cottages on the property is sits as one of the most unique properties on the North Coast. We plan to add a 5th cottage in a few years.
