The home is great. Easy check-in and out. Nice and clean. Bathrooms are nice and updated with great showers. Kitchen and laundry were well-stocked. Nice kayaks, SUPs and a pedal boat to use. The fire-pit was a hit. The only minor drawback is the number of stairs down from the parking are to the house. People with limited mobility will struggle with the stairs. Otherwise the property is perfect. We would be happy to stay there again. The views and ambiance cannot be beaten.

Amazing property!!! Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and stocked with everything we needed. It’s a warm and welcoming and cozy home. Beds are so comfortable! Parking is on the road and there are a lot of steep stairs to the home. Didn’t bother us at all but it’s something to keep in mind. We’re hoping to stay again during the summer!
The house was very clean and had nice touches but being on the lake is really what drew us here. Absolutely beautiful watching the orange colors across the lake during sunset then watching the sun rise the next morning. Had so much fun swimming and we would’ve used the water sport boards had it not been raining. Cameron (host) was great to work with and called us right back when we had a question during check-in. Would love to stay again!
Hideaway is an amazing place on Lake Whatcom!! House is right on the water. One must walk down a steep slope with many steps so if you are physically challenged, this could be a problem. The location is beautiful. The house is clean, spacious and well-appointed. Would definitely return, hopefully for a longer stay. Thank you, Cameron!!
Such a special location at the bottom of the cliff, very private, the view of the water framed by leaves! Steps from the water with many doors and windows, you can go to sleep to the sound of the waves. This is a very special home, white panelled walls, wood ceilings and beams...the upstairs has an exposed attic area, high ceilings, little nooks and crannies. The stairwell is particularly charming with its historic coal map, porthole to peek outside, and old fishing equipment. The house is beautifully furnished, everything is fresh and new and cozy, from the cookware to the lighting to the warm throws thoughtfully provided. Everything is classy and understated and super clean. Comfy beds and linens, no shortage of towels or coffee. This will be a very successful property. The floating dock allowed us to bring a boat to fish and tour the lake with...the area is set up perfectly for diving and swimming...we also enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards provided. We had the best time even tho it was raining or overcast our entire stay...great place for couples to play cards and cook together. Wouldn't change a thing! Hoping the cleaner arrives by boat bc as we cannot imagine lugging the trash cans up 96 steps!! Recommend backpacks for your clothes. Outdoor area gorgeous at night with all the lighting, even up those stairs! Great rental for romantic getaway, couples, or families.
The Lake Home was beautifully decorated and amply supplied with kitchen tools, towels, bedding & bath products. The property was serene and the view of the lake was spectacular. The only drawback was the many steps to bring luggage and groceries in and out.
We were here for our oldest child's college graduation and this lake house was a fabulous homebase for a very busy weekend! Quaint, lovingly updated and well equipped with an up close view of spectacular waters. Thank you!
The property was great. The only thing is the 92 stairs to get up and down but other than that the property was beautiful great kitchen - beds were comfortable and we loved the fire pit.
We are Mackenzie & Cameron and we love travel! Wherever we go, we love staying in vacation homes because we love to really immerse ourselves in the area and really live wherever we are. We are so excited to share our vacation home here in beautiful Bellingham Washington. Come enjoy this lakefront home and soak in all the natural beauty & relaxation!
What makes this property unique
Nestled down off the main road is the Hideaway. You will feel removed from the busy world and more in tune with nature. During your stay you may see the Blue Heron fishing off our dock, or the muskrats swimming in the water, and even the deer like to make their way over and lay by the water.
